look I know the main reason why … you spent time from the start supporting them all. it’s probably especially important to you since they got their start off of survival programs, knowing how much this dream meant for them. but I guess I just don’t see how anyone could want a member of a group to come back to said group; knowing very well things wouldn’t ever go back to the way they were.
especially in regards to manon’s case, seeing my from the start there were a multitude of people saying she didn’t deserve her place in the group. I know on the flip end she was the main draw for people to tune in. either way, the sheer misogyny and racism from all sides is abhorrent — and what I don’t understand from OT5s is this whole “she invited this vitriol to her members and brought this negative energy” … idk me personally as a black woman, I wouldn’t invite others to experience RACISMMMMMM just for speaking out about my own experiences with it.
you don’t have to be a fan, you don’t even have to like her or any of katseye, but there’s never been a need to stoop to moral failures in the guise of “defending” people. being antiblack to manon won’t absolve the rest of the members from experiencing their own “isms”; being racist to the rest of katseye won’t shield manon from her “isms”. there’s always going to be a back and forth and the only ones winning are probably those making money from interactions given that their subscribers on the platforms they use. and all of it sets us back further and further.
but yeah for those who are begging for her to come back … why would you want to invite someone back into a brewing toxic environment? for entertainment? to “save” the group? to be the “it girl”? idk i would want to get as far away from all this shit as humanly possible.
anyway i don’t go here but whatever the outcome ends up being, those girls deserved better all around.
