An Open Letter to Dr Ben Carson
An open letter to Dr Ben Carson:
I'm sadden, dismayed and at a total loss on this decision. At CPAC, you outlined the qualities of the person you should endorse by saying: "Many people have said 'Who are you going to endorse?'. Well, let me tell you exactly.. Let me tell you exactly the criteria one should use when utilizing that brain. If we're talking about somebody who’s going to lead America, and the world, you need somebody who has demonstrated significant accomplishmentin their life - Number 1. You also need someone whose ideas and policies are clear and easy to find, so that with your intellect, you can evaluate them. You need to look how they treat others, and how they treat their family because that's how they are going to treat the American people. We need to see what they have done for America. Someone who wants to lead this nation should, in fact, have demonstrated, in their life, that they are trying to improve life for people in America. And, we should also look at the people that they work with: Who are those people? How do they.. What do those people have to say? And how have they been able to collaborate with other people to get things done? All of those are very important factors and somebody who can check the boxes on all of those is going to make an incredible leader. Also, somebody who's ethical - because what we need in America right now is 'trickle down ethics'."
Do you honestly feel that embodies Donald Trump - a man who by his own admission has used the law to skirt issues - feels that as a Christian he doesn't need forgiveness which goes against the very foundation of Judeo-Christian ethics - ethics you claim to hold in the highest regard! Have you looked at how he treats others?
Was this just rhetoric Dr Carson - or do you really believe these are the criteria for President - because I don't see how Mr Trump can check mark ANY of those boxes. ‪
