Hello Tumblr. Not much to report, really. Been busy sorting out my placement year applications. Not as easy as they make it sound, filling out forms, tweaking CVs, writing cover letters.

University work’s piling up as well. Essays, group projects, the lot. Feels like I’m spinning plates half the time.

On a brighter note, I’m now the captain of our college’s Pool B Team. Didn’t ask for it, but here we are. Not exactly the A team, but still, it’s a laugh. We’ve got a match next week against another college. Odds of us winning are slim to none, but we’ll give it a go.

Exams are looming, so life’s not as fun as it used to be. Spent most of the day in the library, reading books that weigh more than a brick, which isn’t as exciting as it sounds. Tried to concentrate, but my mind kept wandering. Thought about how weird it is that we spend so much time learning stuff we’ll probably never use.

Easter break has come to an end, and I've spent most of it cooking burgers at McDonald's. Not exactly the holiday I had in mind, but a man's gotta earn his keep. Now it's back to uni, but before that, I'll squeeze in some snooker later.

Last night, I had a weird dream again. I dreamt I was watering my cactus, right, but I must've overdone it because the thing just went all soggy and limp. Can you believe it? Even in me sleep, I can't take care of a plant properly.

Then, I woke up, thinking I'd actually drowned the thing. But no, it was just a dream. Still, it got me thinking, why am I dreaming about cactuses anyway?

Ended up giving up on my planns revision pretty sharpish and made meself a sandwich instead. Ham and cheese, nothing fancy. Sometimes, that's all you need

Well, the bin saga continued this week. It's like a battle of will out there, with those bins being shuffled back and forth like pawns in chess. Dad reached breaking point the other night. I mean, he's usually a pretty chilled, but when those bins crossed onto our side, coupled with their unfixed oil leak, which was on our side, he snapped.

The neighbour's son sneakily moved a bin back onto our patch of grass, thinking they're pulling a fast one. But this time, Dad was ready. As soon as he saw them, he wnt out, grabbed the bin, and he went back inside. That's when the shouting match began.

The neighbour, towering over Dad like, shouted from his window, demanding us to keep his hands off his bins. Well, Dad wasn't having any of it. He gave the neighbour a piece of his mind, even flashing him the old one-finger salute. Brave move, considering the neighbour's built like a brick wall and has a bit of a reputation as a bully.

Things escalated quickly, with Dad booting those bins back over whenever they moved one onto our bit. It was like a ridiculous game of bin football.

Meanwhile, the neighbour's son was filming the whole thing, trying to paint Dad as the loony one. But Dad's responses were good, calling out the childishness of it all.

Today, we finally got our hands on the deeds, and it turns out the land is definitely ours. Legal grounds to remove the bins. Let's see how he likes that.

Well, it's the last day of uni before the Easter break. Can't say I'm not relieved, though I'll miss the routine, if you can call it that. Got all my projects done, surprisingly. Even surprised myself, to be honest. Ill have to do the same next term for exams and channel some inner genius or something.

But now, facing the grim reality of work and night shifts back home. The thought of it makes me shudder. No more late nights pondering the meaning of life with uni mates. Just me and the night shifts.

Guess it's back to the mundane for a while. But hey, at least there's chocolate eggs waiting for me at home. Plus vodka for tonight. Alough, I'd have to take it easy. Need to look somewhat presentable for the family tomorrow. Gotta find joy in the little things.

Today was a bit of a mixed bag. Did a presentation with the group, and it was like watching a kitten try to solve a Rubik's Cube chaotic and not very successful. So, we're doing it all over again tomorrow. Grade's on the line, apparently.

Went to the info lab later, surprisingly got some stuff done. Even managed to knock up some pasta before that.

Got my work hours sorted. Its all graveyard shifts at McDonald's when I'm back from uni. Brilliant. Just what I needed, serving fries at 3 a.m.

Going to bed soon. Hopefully, tomorrow is smoother.

So, the neighbour's car's leaking oil again. Dad's gone full neighbourhood vigilante, reporting him to the authorities. The second time around, he's warned to fix it or cough up some cash. Mr. Grumpy Pants next door's convinced it's us. Had a bit of a squabble with him before, nothing major, just your usual neighbourly tiff.

And now, get this, in a move that screams, "I've got too much time on my hands," he's built a barricade of bins, right on our patch of grass. It's like he's declaring war, but instead of cannons, he's got rubbish bins. What a load of old bollocks. Gonna have to figure out how to dismantle this wall of waste without causing an international incident. Bloody bin fortress, who'd have thought?

Right, so today's been a bit of a kerfuffle, as per usual. Me and the team were supposed to have this business simulation thing sorted out, the one we've been bumbling about with for weeks now. But what do you know? The fourth member of our team decides to grace us with their presence today, sauntering in after all this time.

And as if that wasn't enough to get my blood boiling, Ive got this last-minute marketing presentation to slap together. I mean, Im getting used to pulling something decent out of thin air in the eleventh hour at this point.

Later on, we've got to wrap up that other business simulation presentation. Hopefully, this person manages to stick around long enough to contribute something halfway useful. Who knows, maybe pigs will fly. But I'm not holding my breath.
