Help a family evacuate Gaza
Recently, I had the pleasure of connecting with the sweetest young woman from northern Gaza, Samah, whose story I want to share.
Before the IOF began their invasion of Gaza, Samah divided her time between running her own business and being a devoted wife and mother to her beautiful little girl, Noor (pictured above). Since the war has broken out, Samah and Noor have been displaced from their home in Nasser, separated from their husband/father. Samah’s home and business were both destroyed, and devastatingly, she and Noor were injured.
While they were blessed to make it to safety in Rafah, that safety was only temporary. As the IOF continues their genocidal campaign into Rafah, Samah is desperately seeking safety for her family.
In addition to her husband, and Noor, Samah has a large extended family — seven brothers and sisters — who are all in peril and need our urgent assistance in getting to safety. Their entire family became homeless in early October, and the siblings are separated from their mother (an incredibly strong woman who raised 8 children alone).
A GoFundMe has been started in Samah’s youngest brother’s name; JeMal is an aspiring neurosurgeon who has been in the middle of the horrors since October 7th, not only continuing his studies but assisting in desperately-needed surgeries. While it is in JeMal’s name, any donations will benefit their entire family.
If you’re able, please donate to help the Salha family make it safely out of Gaza; if you can’t, every share counts for visibility. I know it can feel incredibly overwhelming with the number of horrific stories coming from Gaza, but connecting with Palestinians and sharing their stories is instrumental.
Thank you 🤍🇵🇸
