saw backrooms (2026)
i myself am not involved in the whole backrooms world beyond the basics of it so this might be just me talking out of my ass but i think this movie had the same problem as Godzilla (2014). Like for example i saw a twitter post saying that this was a monster movie and thats imo what it lacked? not enough backroom.
I understand that creating a storyline with character with motivations is important to make a movie of this concept (heavy reliance on atmosphere) but it felt like maybe we lingered a bit too long on the characters and not enough in the backrooms
i do think it was fantastically shot and the sound design was really good
