I love working a job I can bring Baxtah to.
I was tagged by @4cloverleaves to post my Lock Screen, a recent movie, a song I’m into recently, and a recent selfie.
1. Lock Screen is a picture of the dune climb at Sleeping Bear National Park.
2. Movie I watched recently is Lincoln, that I rewatched last night.
3. Song, I’ve listening to Redemption Song by Bob Marley, I’m trying to learn how to play it on my Octave Mandolin
4. Recent Selfie. I just got a haircut, the first one in a year.
Week 9 of running in the books.
I ran on the running track of my gym due to heavy rains. I would much prefer to run outside, but it’s better than nothing.
60/171 second run/walk intervals
I started at 20/180 run/walk intervals
I started rowing 3 days per week, I’m up to 12:30
Finally got my hair cut. I should get it cut more than once a year, lol
What do you call a beautiful woman on the arm of a banjo player?
A tattoo
I saw these beauties on my run today. A friend told me they were Butterfly Milkweed.
Week 5 Running

The Hound of the Baxtervilles
Running Week 4

I don’t endorse the Cardinals, but I do endorse the Grateful Dead
Standing guard to protect our home from the roofers working across the street.
Two months ago I went through a disappointing breakup and a friend recommended this book. It was enormously helpful and I can honestly say I am genuinely happy today. If you’re struggling with anything or stuck, I recommend this book.
A license plate I saw yesterday.
I’m trying running yet again. I miss the glory days of my youth, lol. I’m in week 3, I started with 20 second/ 3 minute intervals.
Week 3
30 second running/ 2:59 walking intervals
19:42 pace
1.45 miles
Saturday Night and I’m ready to party
I started praying the Loving Kindness Prayer when I walk my dog, which increases my compassion for myself and my dog. My dog, who is an amazing little wolf, likes to chase squirrels, pickup trucks pulling trailers, and loves to sniff the urine spots other dogs have. He also takes forever, at 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile to take a crap. I noticed I have been getting impatient with him, which was more a reflection of my emotional garbage , than him acting like a normal dog.
I have friends that are carrying heavy loads right now, with things going in their lives. I’m carrying a moderate, not heavy load. I’m feeling some stress with my job and a class I am taking. I went through a break up about a month ago. I miss my son and would like to spend to spend more time with him. It’s just a moderate load. Praying the Loving Kindness prayer helps me be content and peaceful at least for a little while. I pray for myself and then I pray for others, it gives me compassion for myself and other people. This is the way I pray it;
May I be happy
May I be at peace
May I love myself
May I be healthy
May I be awake
May I be free.
I pray for myself first and then I pray for other people. It has worked for me. I believe there is an infinite supply of compassion in the world, but I have not tapped into it on a consistent basis.
