I wanted to ask, relating to that your total epic, totally beautiful, ridiculously fucking funny Dapper Neo and Organic Metal flipnote you posted: I mean I watched it on mobile but how is it so crisp?? How on earth did you export it that it doesn’t look low quality and blurry?

I think I remember you saying somewhere that you have a Nintendo 3DS so I assumed you made this flipnote using it and not, like, Krita with all the brushes or something. But when I see posts from other people who make stuff on flipnote with their 3ds, it always looks a bit low definition. And I assumed there was nothing to be done about that, till I saw this flipnote.

So TELL US YOUR SECRETS🎤🎤🎤🎤 please🥺

I do have a 3DS, however—It IS NO FLIPNOTE, all of this was made in Toonsquid with their pixel brushes, exporting surprisingly didn't ruin the quality but yeah,

Idk if it's the style of music that you like, but I was listening to my Eiffel playlist earlier and Put Me Under by Grandson came on, and it reminded me of the surgical imagery that your version of Heiffel usually has, so I thought I'd recommend the song! I want to shape, I want to shape so bad I want to shape so ridiculously bad I want to be shapesmaxxing I want to be shapepillled I want every piece of personal art I make to come out chock full of incrediply pleasung eyecatching graphic shapes

I set this goal for myself 1 fucking year ago this month (or so) and in 2026 I am NO CLOSER TO ACHIEVING IT

I was making a little booklet for myself, kind of like a personal art improvement zine, and I had: anatomy notes, a study on clothing folds and wrinkles, a brief ultimate guide to light and shade, object drawing help from Industrial Product Design drawing techniques and a study on perspective all doodled down. 30 fucking (A5)pages. But when it came to Design Fundamentals?? Pussied tf outt. Burned out too maybe idk.

Look I can't do the homework I set for myself until the zine is complete, I don't know why, it's just how I feel, it's uncomfortable to start the subsequent task when the former task isn't complete; can anyone relate to that? Is that a thing? Either way because of that, the section on Design that's supposed to enable my ““shapesmaxxing”” has sat incomplete for months. And my art has gotten no more shapier than it was before i started this journey.

NOT TO MENTION HOW BAD I KEEP FUCKING UP AT UNI–

I remember wanting to yap about the very first animatic, Under My Skin, but I couldn't upload images without stress because Tumblr is a functional website/s

Not much to yap about here actually, mostly ive always wanted to have some of the frames beside or under the scenes from One art theyre based on. This is pretty self explanatory (also if the hilbert frame on the roght looks a little unfamiliar it's because i edited it to look like a movie still a bit for fun)

I do want to say, to have it be said, that the intention on those first 4 lines was that they were to be lipsynced. I explained this to somebody before but it's based on the way I first comprehended lyrics of the song when I first heard it. I processed it kind of as a question and response.

"How much can you fit under your skin" is a quest from speaker one

"I wish you were dead babe" is a resistant response from speaker two, a sort of ‘nonono no fuck you FUCK you im not doing this’ and then the way the artiste sings "I can fit two" do quietly felt like defeat to me, submission. Because it like the other lines was repeated but slower somehow. Which is why i chose the repetitions to be thise two franes of Eiffel first caught and forced to listen and doing so.

Little thing I didn't know about attempting gore though: you're the one making it so you look at it until it's effect on you is dramatically dulled (which is why it's probably a good idea for me to continue to have thumbnails and a clear vision going forward with a piece).

So like, catching a glimpse of, say, a page of Sleeping Dead in my gallery is guaranteed to make me shiver, but my own work? I have to either consciously switch my brain to Viewer Mode, or avoid looking at my art for at least a month to get any feeling back. Which is actually what I did with this one.

SO. full fledged fan animatic of Practice falling Farther, not just inspired by this time. 20 something drawings in total. 1 month+ of work. And gods did I enjoy it.
