with the sun's light, the moon is made grand. that otherworldy gown moon borrows from time to time, when the sun disappears from view, is just a borrowed dress; but, it's not hers. it's her sister's. borrowed beauty, borrowed light. it changes nothing. the sun will always be a star and the moon will always be a rock, bound to the earth and only made beautiful by the sun. korvinus deshayes was remarkable in all the ways the moon was remarkable. that is to say, he wasn't. not really. not in the ways that mattered.
