m-word story

so im in a production of all shook up and recently a few of the hamilton nerds in the cast were playing some songs from it and everyone was fine with it except if they played take a break (because it says the word and we just don’t want that) but someone put it on shuffle and no one realized until he said the word and within two days we’ve broken two lights, part of the ceiling fell down during rehearsal, our Chad broke his toe while dancing and one our props just fell apart. opening night is in a week and we’re all scared for what tragedy is gonna happen then.

During one production I did in high school, everyone kept telling us to break a leg, as is tradition. And then the lead ACTUALLY DID break a leg, a week before opening night. Due to us just being the drama 10 class, and a small one, we did not have an understudy. There was some FRANTIC last minute shuffling of the cast, let me tell you. Moral of the story: 'Break a leg' doesn't always work.
