I just found out that Outsiders the musical exist. I have to conflicting views.

Run Run Brother makes me think:

Johnny: Damian

Ponyboy: Tim

Dally: Jason

However, Little Brother has me thinking:

Dally: Dick

Johnny: Jason

You could make the argument that Jason fits both roles of Dally, however I can just see this scene.

Dick comes back from the outer space mission to find out Jason is dead. They had gotten closer and he bought Outsider the musical tickets as a surprise knowing how much Jason loves the book and is a theater nerd.

Dick goes and he’s sobbing his eyes out 99% of the play; and he takes Little Brother song to heart and stalks out.

The song is on repeat on in his head as he tracks the Joker down.

As he beats the Joker to death he thinks of all the people Joker killed and harmed; and just before he does something more reckless Batman tackles him. (Like the train sound).

Little brother specifically changed my life hello Dally someone make a fix it fic rn before I claw my pillow open and cry for eternity I love theatre sm and always feel all kinds of emotions but I never really cry but boy did I CRYYYY last night

Hot take and I feel like a terrible person for this but I didn’t care much for Johnny he was a sweet kid but I feel like we didn’t establish him enough for me to feel for him all his scenes were built on other people, all we know is he has parents who hate each other but that scene explained more of Dally’s characteristics than his imo in establishing his kindness despite his past, and all his other scenes are Ponyboy driven so idk man… idk if that’s just a musical thing I gotta read the book and watch the movie NOW I need to know Johnny better
