Detective DR.

🔍 You have super human vision / hearing / eyesight / etc.

🔍 You have an assistant / butler to talk to, help you with cases, and maybe even have romantic tension with.

Fairy Detective DR.

🌷 Your assistant is a talking animal. A chatty bird, or maybe a nervous mouse, etc.

Not all of them are that fun... But I may add more if I make each one into its own post.

I do think we need more established Huckleabbot with Robby joining the relationship later but I also love the idea of Rabbot already being married and knowing literally everything about each other. Then Dennis comes along and suddenly they’re like, “Fuck. I want to know EVERYTHING about this boy.” They latch onto every little thing he says, wanting to learn anything and everything about him, to the point where it almost becomes obsessive.

I think we need more fics about them actually getting to know Dennis beyond the hospital and the major traumatic experiences he’s had. I want to see Rabbot noticing his likes and dislikes, his little habits, the routines he falls into every day. The way he takes his coffee, the songs he hums without realizing it, what kind of food he reaches for after work.

Basically, I think we need more fics about the beginning stages of the relationship but not just the getting together part, yk? I want the slow process of them learning Dennis as a person.

What do you use for your texting Smaus? As well as the Twitter post ones? Im just curious, I want to add texting portions to my stories and dont know what to use other than just texting my own number with different names.

Hucklerabbot Hot Take: Jack or Dennis have to be the first pairing and get developed more as a ship rather than Robby wants them both and they met twice in the back ground before falling in love. Because I just know for a fact that Jack Abbot would actually fall for Dennis so fast if he was on night shift and I feel like it would be even more organic in the way their relationship develops.

Jack is a funny, charismatic, traumatized guy and Dennis, who wants to be there for any and everyone and is lovable by everyone would definitely grow attached to Jack and honestly Jack would probably cling to the willing affection, kindness, and eager connection Dennis offers easily.

ALSO, STOP MAKING DENNIS JUST AN ADD-ON TO RABBOT’S RELATIONSHIP. Genuinely so many fanfics are literally just Rabbot having intense loving monologues about one another and then just “Oh yeah, and we have this hot new thing Dennis now”. Like actually give Dennis equal standing in the relationship and treat him as an autonomous adult.

Last Points: Robby is a manwhore who shows he has no problem with sleeping with co-workers and it’s canon he has a track record there so I honestly doubt his biggest hang ups about Dennis would be about anything work related. I definitely do think their relationship would be Dennis falls first, Jack and Robby fall harder.
