None of the cars or public transportation disturb your sleep, your tranquility stays intact no matter what. The noise from neighbors and the city in general is never that bad.
The public transportation/subways are never dirty or dangerous. They're not known for how bad they are, instead for how well kept they are. Drunk people on trains are not as common.
The streets also aren't dirty and the people a lot more welcoming. You don't get weird stares or people cussing you out randomly.
There are enough jobs for everyone and you never have to struggle in the city with high rent apartments or bad apartments for a lot of money.
Your apartment is actually good quality and doesn't get problems that are ignored.

Just realized that the reason I love making friends on tumblr is because it’s exactly how you make friends on the playground as a six year old. This includes everything that I've changed from canon and my own added events/places/etc. I separated these into three categories: changes in Hogwarts, changes in the marauders, and extra changes.
From: Hogwarts Castle
Classes start at 9:30 am and end at 2:30 pm. And the day after scheduled astronomy classes at night, the other classes start at 10 and end at 3
we have long breaks
There’s a 10 minute tolerance to go to your class (I’m not kidding when I say I’m scared of getting lost in that castle and in those stairs)
In general, attendance is not extremely mandatory, but it is expected for students to attend classes cause if you fall behind that’s your fault
The common rooms are like in Hogwarts Legacy, 4 ppl per room in bunk beds
On my dorm there’s a sort of magical closet that can fit all of your clothes no maximum capacity, in my case it also includes also all clothes from my pinterest boards
There’s a service at breakfast to order coffee, to enlist and give your order, there’s a little form on a table entering the dining hall, then an owl goes to a coffee shop in Hogsmeade known as Dewy Haze and comes back with your order (I’m not giving up iced coffee in any reality)
Aside from changing daily, the food at the dining hall can vary on cultures, they might serve mexican, indian, greek, spanish, french, welsh, etc. They rotate around by the ethnicities of the students so that they get to eat food from their countries.
The Yule Ball is every year
There are always a week long of diferent activities on Halloween week, they always change and differ, and ofc there’s a big event on Halloween (I’m not giving examples cause I want it to be random and to be surprised)
There are house parties (mostly after a house has won the quidditch season but sometimes just cause) the best ones are from ravenclaw and slytherin
There are invisible rooms all around the castle that me and Reggie found on our 5th year (like the one in deathly hallows but with different sizes and styles), we found how to activate one and make it change into our preferences, so that’s the marauders main hangout spot

Yes, the Snape hate is real, but after “the prank” and Lily not talking to him anymore, we don’t really give a shit about him (cause it would be very uncomfortable if in the future my nephews, nieces or even my own children would be treated badly by this man)
Sirius and Regulus’ trauma is diluted (I already said this in an ask), these two had a small fall apart before becoming really close siblings, that’s it. Family might be a little weird or whatever but 1. they got eachother, 2. they both move out at 17, 3. the parents in this dr aren’t such freaks and assholes
Barty’s trauma too, he might not like his dad, but in this dr he’s more present and not an ass
We go to Hogsmeade almost every weekend
There’s this pub in Hogsmeade where we go eat if we stay too long, in which artists can perform
We plan hangouts on each other’s houses/cities/countries most of the holidays/breaks, for example, it becomes a regular to go on the break that they give us on November (the version of the UK’s October Half-Break but given the first week of november) to James’ house, on winter Marlene sometimes invites us to Scotland, to go on spring breaks to either Evans’ or Mary’s, and in the summer we go to Xeno’s (context for this is that since 5th year Xenophilius invited the marauders to go aside from my ravenclaw group because of his crush on Pandora, so the marauders and my ravenclaw friend group hang out for those weeks), my home, and sometimes London or Sirius and Reggie’s house in countryside Lyon (when they know their parents will not be there). Ofc there’s always visiting other countries, but these ones become a sort of “regulars”.
Also a shit ton of car drives even though we can’t fit in a single car (well maybe if I script one like Nancy Wheeler’s in Stranger Things?) with a LOTTT of car karaoke

Some families host balls, normally in spring but also sometimes also in summer, so the marauders, my siblings or whoever’s invited is there (I get invited not only because of mostly Sirius and Reggie but because originally my siblings were invited and even my dad when he was young)
I have met Bellatrix, Andromeda, Narcissa and Lucius because my siblings were at Hogwarts at around the same time as them (I think I'll make a post about my family to talk more about them)
My family is wonderful (not that it sucks entirely in this cr but a better one wouldn’t hurt)
Seeing my siblings is also important to me (cause they're motherfucking awesome)
I didn’t know if to add this but it is a big deal to me so I’m doing it anyways: Greece never got suppressed on the hellenic religion, which means its official religion is hellenic polytheism in my dr, so I can worship openly and in actual temples
With this, also all celebrations are also in, like the summer solstice and so on

In this life I've always hated the sentiment that we must pick 1 path and stick with it for the rest of our lives because you can't be everything. Therefore when I was 5 and people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I never had a clear answer, which was the common theme throughout the years since then. But finally last year, I had the eureka moment solution that everyone was waiting for. I don't want to be an astronaut, doctor, lawyer, or entrepreneur: I want to be a shifter, which gives me the unique advantage of potentially being all 4 and more all at once.
