           LOOK, zelda. it’s DONE. excitement REFLECTING on juvenile phiz AS the wooden LOFTWING was exposed AT said female. after ALL this time, his LAST piece of WORK was finally complete.

      she turns around as said excitement starts to reach her. it’s certainly a surprise on her part since she doesn’t know what he had been working on for it to be considered ‘ done ’. she sees a statue of a loftwing carved out of wood sitting sitting on top of his hands. a hobby of his she’s very familiar with.

casually falls asleep against her.

     her first reaction was a frown and a glance towards her friend’s direction, but the more she looked at him the more at ease she felt. there was nothing to be done so waking him was not really needed. no, his sleeping form would just cause pain on his neck later on. not to mention that the steady and quiet breaths were starting to get to her. whispers into his ear and nudges him ever so softly wanting only to wake him from his slumber for a brief moment.

ACT: COMPLIMENT

They were sure they never heard a song so sweet before. Gracefully plucked along the strings of a blessed instrument, they of course didn’t know that it was a gift. All they heard was beautiful music and they wanted to find the source of it. The child stopped once they located the origin and offered a kind smile in tandem with applause.

      ears had picked up a sound, a noise, of feet shuffling about at a distance, but she had only assumed it to be an animal of the forest and continued on with her song. she had no fear of anything harmful in the forest as she hadn’t to have fear of anything. it’s not until an unexpected round of applause was given when she looks up from her holy instrument to find a child with a smile on their face.

❝  oh my, thank you. tell me, are you lost?  ❞

                                    genuine CURIOSITY was traced on phiz as the                                     description of the HOLIDAY progressed. so, IT                                     based on a whole day just to show affection to                                     other? someone SPECIAL? …

                                    clear pools found themselves contemplating the                                     blond woman next to him, switching LATER to a                                     spot away from HER, index SCRATCHING the                                     NEAREST cheek in nervousness. what was he                                     thinking?

         gaze goes from her hands that are locked together to him. she has nothing to say to him, but has the feeling like there’s more of the holiday that he wants to know about. she wants to inform him. she wants to try it out. she wants to celebrate it with him even if their relationship was only platonic. only responds to his expression by giving him a smile even if his gaze wasn't directly on her.

 ❝ and well, that’s all i was able to hear. i just thought that it’d be something that’d interest you or at least try it out. i mean trying out new traditions might be fun. ❞

          she does her best to inform him of this new tradition that she heard about, but she fails to voice the word ‘ romantic ’. not that it really mattered. the word ‘love one’ should have been enough for him to get the idea that the day had been set for couples. 

  ❝ a day that’s dedicated to spend with that person and show them how much you care. ❞

                                having the daughter of the principal looking over him                                 was not unusual. link was used to her presence since                                 childhood; CARING about his wellness, WAKING him                                 up to not be late for class, assisting him against bullies.                                 favors of what the hero was, for sure, GRATEFUL. 

                                all the same, there was no need to worry anymore. he                                 still could get easily distracted, daydreaming even while                                 awake, or fall ASLEEP everywhere, but also HAD the                                 CAPACITY to take care of himself and accomplish his                                 duty of safeguard the girl.

                                the nudge incited his torso to bend a tad, lids falling to                                 RAISE again, giving birth to REPETITIVE blinks at the                                 interrogations. bad idea to ask him, who lost the track                                 of the hour long ago.

                                preparing lips to articulate an oral reply to the first, this                                 wasn’t able to see the light by the ABRUPT interruption                                 of a SONOROUS growl emerging from the STOMACH                                 region, revealing the evident state of hunger.

                                whoops. a nervous chuckle as extremity arrived on the                                 back of his head to scratch.

                                              ‘ – we should go back now. ‘

            typical. she didn’t know why she even expected a proper response. maybe because she spent almost the whole day without his presence. maybe because she expected him doing something that hopefully wasn’t him snoozing about the forest. and yet here he is, snoozing about until she finally woke him up.

            although she should be a little more lenient. it’s true that they need to settle in the surface, but time isn’t anything that’s against them. it isn’t like there’s a lot of things that they could do to kill time either. 

            she leans over on him for a good five seconds, preparing herself for the walk back home. she kicks up her feet and stands up, stretching as she waits for him to get up on his own. she swings her hands back and looks back at him who still is sitting on the floor. no time for naps, the sun was just about ready to start setting.

  ❝ yeah, we should. ready to go? or do you just want to spend the night outdoors? ❞

So I went to San Diego Comic Con this year and had some time to test out the 13" Cintiq Companions (the ones that are also standalone Windows laptops built into the screen) and I have to say I was pretty impressed. I’ve been vocal about my skepticism before but being able to try one out really changed my opinion. It’s super smooth, handles large texture brushes in Photoshop well, and the biggest advantage is having all the levels of sensitivity offered by Wacom products as well as tilt sensitivity. The nice man at the booth let me save my piece on a flash drive that I happened to be carrying!

So now that I’ve tried it… I… I kind of really want one to replace my Samsung Slate, which I definitely feel I’ve outgrown in the past year in terms of its processing capability and pressure sensitivity. 

I know I’ve been quiet lately (so busy at work!) but at the very least I could update you with a rough little scribble until I find time to format my other pieces for posting. :)

EDIT: Woah so many horror stories with the Companion. Thanks for the warnings and links guys, I’ll definitely… not…… make this purchase at this exact moment. Doesn’t change the fact I had a great experience with the demo version at the convention, but not being able to charge or having the screen break are kind of deal breakers. Hmmm….

Wow, that hair– that posture! Surely this woman was a goddess of some sort- one thing was for certain. The woman was much more beautiful than the sage.  “Ah– e….excuse me? One of your– hair ties has…. slipped out!”

           she reaches for the ends of her hair in search for the only elastic tie that might have fallen, but hasn't. puzzled, she looks to the source of the voice and finds a small girl. she can only smile at her concerned face and her hair ribbons on the grass. 

    ❝ oh my, so i have." she smiles and kneels down to pick them up. 

    ❝ may i ask you your name? ❞

                                     evening? just how long has he been there, laying                                      over the grass? somnolent sapphires followed the                                      feminine figure, twin folds parting once again when                                      a new yawn decided to come out.

                                      if ANYTHING, deal with ERRANDS was nothing                                       COMPARED to the whole CRUSADE had been                                       protagonist on the past, not to MENTION was his                                       own decision to stay on the surface as company                                       and guardian of a determined  zelda.

                                        was the turn of a weak, but EXISTENT smile to                                         appear after WITNESSING how sleepiness had                                         been passed to the companion.

             an eyebrow is raised in suspicion. if he were truly able to handle all of her tasks and demands then he wouldn’t have drifted off into slumber in the forest. or at least not so far from home. 

            she had been  more than happy to hear that he was going to stay down here with her at first, but now she’s starting to wonder if they’ll be alright. even after they’ve properly settled down. dealing with any outcome was something she’d mentally prepared herself for, but she didn’t want Link to suffer with it just because she had decided to do so herself. 

               she snaps out of her thoughts once she heard his response and smiles a little mischievously and squints her eyes while tilting her head. so much for trying to start getting at a serious conversation. maybe later. she elbows his side gently. 

   ❝ i probably would be, but i came out looking for you. that and i still need to eat. that reminds me, you hungry? and how long have you been sleeping? ❞
