Porkchop passed away today
This was her when she was happy and healthy.
And I thought I was prepared. She was sick for a while, so it's not like this came out of nowhere. Also, we lost her older brother Beefy three years ago. So I thought, and maybe this was stupid, but I thought that I wouldn't be as much of a mess as I am now. I don't know, I don't know. The house feels so strange without an animal in it. I found Porkchop 11 years ago. She was a skinny little 3 year old digging through the trash. Even after we adopted her, she loved to eat just absolute rubbish. Whenever we swept the floors, the dust pile was not safe around her utter lack of culinary standards.
Anyway, this was her on her last day, continuing to be a nonchalant menace to the very end by drinking water from the pond, despite me specifically asking her not to.
I heard thunder just now and worried about it stressing her out before I remembered. Oh, this is hard.
Las mascotas nos brindan amor incondicional, compañía y felicidad. Más que animales, se convierten en miembros importantes de nuestra familia y dejan huellas en nuestros corazones.
