Prt 6 incense and usage

🎈STAR ANISE SEEDS: Burned to stimulate or increase the psychic powers.

🎈STRAWBERRY: Burned to attract love.

🎈SWEETGRASS: Burned to conjure beneficial spirits prior to spellcasting.

🎈THYME: Burned for the purification of magivkal spaces prior to rituals, to aid in healin, and to attract good health.

🎈VANILLA: Burned to attract love, increase sexual desire, enhance the abilities of the mind.

🎈VERVAIN: Burned to exorcise evil supernatural entities.

🎈VETIVERT: Burned to break curses, and for protection against sorcery (black magick) and thieves.

🎈WILLOW: Burned to avert evil, bring love, and promote healing. Additionally it is used by many Witches as an offertory incense for Pagan lunar deities.

🎈WISTERIA: Burned for protection against all kinds of evil.

🎈WORMWOOD: Burned to stimulate or increase the psychic powers. When mixed with sandalwood and burnt at night in a cemetery, wormwood is reported to have the ability to conjure spirits from their graves.

🎈ROSE: Burned to boost courge, indue prophetic dreams, and bring love. Rose incense is used in all forms of love enchantment and possesses the strongest love vibration of any magickal incense.

🎈ROSEMARY: Burned to purify, aid in healing, prevent nightmares, preserve youthfulness, dispel depression, attract fairyfolk, and promote restful sleep and pleasant dreams.

🎈RUE: Burned to help restore health.

🎈MINT: Burned to increase sexual appetite, exorcise evil supernatural entities, conjure beneficial spirits, and bring money. Mint incense also possesses strong healing vibrations and protective abilities.

🎈MYRRH: Burned (frequently with frankincense) for purification, consecration, healing, exorcism, and banishing evil. Myrrh also aids meditation rituals, and was burned on altars in ancient Egypt as an offering to the deities Isis and Ra.

🎈CLOVE: Burned to dispel negativity, purify sacred and magickal spaces, attract money, and stop or prevent the spread of gossip.

🎈COCONUT: Burned for protection.

🎈COPAL: Burned for purification and to bring love.

🎈DAMIANA: Burned to facilitate psychic visions.

🎈DITTANY OF CRETE: urned to conjure spirits and to aid in astral projection (especially when mixed with equal parts of benzoin, sandalwood, and vanilla).

🎈DRAGONS BLOOD: Burned to dispel negativity, exorcise evil supernatural entities, bring love, and restore male potency. Many Witches also burn dragons blood for protection when spellcasting and invoking. When added to other incenses, dragons blood makes thrie magickal powers more powerful.

🎈ELECAMPANE: Burned to strengthen the clairvoyant abilities and scrying (divination by gazing) abilities.

🎈FERN: Burned in outdoor fires to magickally produce rain. Used to supernatural entities.

Incense uses

🎈ANISE SEEDS: Burned as a meditation incense.

🎈BASIL: Burned to exorcise and shield against evil entities (such as demos and unfriendly ghosts), and also to bring fidelity, love, good luck, sympathy, and prosperity. This is also an outstanding incense to use when performing love divinations.

🎈BAY: Burned to ease the psychic powers, and also to induce prophetic dream-visions.

🎈BAYBERRY: Burned mainly to attract money.

🎈BENZOIN: Burned for purification and to attract prosperity. BISTORT: Burned (frequently with frankincense) as a powerful incense to assist divination.

🎈BRACKEN: Burned in outdoor fires to magickally produce rain.

🎈CEDAR: Burned for purification, to stimulate or strengthen the psychic powers, attract love, prevent nightmares, and cure many ailments, including headache.

How to see Aurus

Step one. Blocking

For the Purpose of “blocking” other colours and stimuli, you need to face the Sky or a white Wall, or a – quite large- white piece of paper.

Step two. Heavens

Now put your hand facing the Sky / Wall / Paper but in a comfortable way – if possible. Choose to focus in the space between two finger or in the border of one finger.

Step three. Focus

Keep focusing on the same spot. You may begin observing that the outline of the fingers starts to fade away or you may notice something like a transparent smoke radiating. Keep FOCUSED. This is not what we want. In few seconds you will begin to see or “feel” colours. This is the Colour of your Aura! This is our goal!

Step four. Examination

Invite a friend to “examine” him/her. Tell him or her to stand 3feet away from you. Tell him to keep his/her arm in a stable position. Now, Let’s take a look at some Colours.

Types of Witches Part 1

Traditional Witch

Traditional witches are witches who have a base in the history of witchcraft and the Old Craft that came before Wicca. They take a historical (traditional) approach to their practice and often will study their ancestors or other folklore attached to witchcraft. Traditional witches want to honor the “old” ways of practicing their craft, and will often focus on working with the local history and spirits of where they are or where they’ve come from. While these witches do old history and customs in high regard, there are absolutely contemporary traditional witches practicing today.

Gardnerian Witch

Gardnerian Wicca is a practice of Wicca that came about in the 1950s and because of Gerald Gardner, often considered to be “The Father of Wicca”, spread across the world. Those who practice Gardnerian Wicca have strong ties to nature, challenge societal norms, and have many rituals that are the foundation of their practice. In order to be a Gardnerian witch you must be initiated, members cannot initiate themselves. There is also an incredibly structured system of advancing as a witch and with your practice as you grow and learn more about your craft.

Alexandrian Witch

Founded in the 60s by Alex and Maxine Sanders, Alexandrian Wicca is a British derivative of Wicca and witchcraft. Alexandrian Wicca has a lot of similarities to its sister Gardnerian Wicca, but also pulls elements of ceremonial magick and Qabalah as well. Alexandrian Wicca is seen as “more eclectic” and is less structured than Gardnerian Wicca. They follow the belief of “if it works, use it.” Witches still must be initiated in order to practice, and there are degrees and levels of advancement that can be achieved as a witch moves along in their practice. Their covens meet on new moons, full moons and during Sabbat festivals

So How Do You Figure Out Just What Kind of Witch You Are?

Well the first step is just to read and learn as much as possible. Read about different witchcraft traditions, about different cultures and about different kinds of magick. Note those that speak to you or that just seem to make sense in your world.

For example, you might be drawn to green witchcraft and herbalism if you are an avid gardener or you might be interested in Druidism if you have Celtic roots.

Look at your hobbies and the activities you are interested in to see if they might point you in the right direction.

Do you spend a lot of time hiking outdoors? You might be a nature witch. Do you like the idea of your Book of Shadows in the cloud, easily accessible on any device? Then technopaganism might be for you!

Study your astrological natal chart to discover what the stars have to say about your practice. It’s important to take into consideration more than just your sun sign too, as your moon and rising signs, as well as the rest of the chart, often shine far more light on who you are internally.

As I said above, I believe my choices of practice are strongly influenced by my signs. Pisces might find that they are sea witches while Scorpios might be more drawn to sex magick.

Try it out! The surest way to know if a particular type of magick or witchcraft is right for you, is to try it. Although you may not be able to practice with a formal Wiccan coven or discover the secrets of hedgeriding without some instruction, trying a few spells or rituals based on a tradition you are interested in is a great way to see if its a good fit.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match. With a few notable exceptions of more formal and strict traditions, most forms of witchcraft play fairly well with others.

Cottage witchcraft is the perfect example, as it is generally a combination of practices. You might also find yourself combining kitchen witchery with the Italian strega traditions or Christian witchcraft with cultural heritage based practices.

Samhain Non-Alcoholic Mead

Ingredients:

4 cups Water

1 cup Honey

1/2 tsp Nutmeg

1/4 tsp Cinnamon

1 sliced Lemon

Bring water, honey, nutmeg, and cinnamon to a boil.

Stir until honey is dissolved then squeeze in lemon slices.

Allow to cool then strain and refrigerate

Samhain Protection Salt

What You’ll Need:

Pen and paper

1 cup salt

2 Tablespoons dried rosemary (or several springs)

2 Tablespoons dried sage leaves (or several springs)

1 Tablespoon dried dill

Clean dry jar for storage

How to Conjure:

★ In bold letters on a small slip of paper, simply write:

PROTECTION

★ Roll up the slip of paper and place it at the bottom of a cauldron or burning receptacle. Place the dried herbs on top.

★ Standing in front of your cauldron with your palms facing the herbs, envision your ancestors standing beside you. Feel their energy, their love and blessings. Allow the peace of their presence to settle over you before lighting the herbs. When you are ready, ignite the paper and let the herbs burn to complete ash. You may need to reignite if the fire burns out. That’s okay! Be patient and enjoy the ritual.

★ Once your herbs are fully burned, grind them into powder by using a spoon, or pestle and mortar if you have one. It doesn’t need to be a perfect dust, just as fine as you can get it. No need to stress.

★ In a bowl, combine the salts and ash. Mix thoroughly.

★ Take the bowl in your hands and say the following, all the while envisioning your ancestors standing beside you:

For protection, for safety, to banish negativity;

With my ancestors’ spirits united beside me.

To encourage the positive and dispel the rest,

I consecrate these salts, this spell is now blessed.

★ Pour the salts into a clean jar and store in a cool, dry place. If your salts clump, don’t fret! Simply stir before using.
