Neopets Battledome TCG Illustrations - 2025

Miscellaneous Artwork

A handful of designs and pieces drawn with the intent to match the site style (the Varwolf is a slight redesign; I drew it referencing pictures of thylacines- I wanted to see what it might look like with more marsupial-based anatomy)

Complex Pet Colors - 2018-2024

These are pet colors that involve at least one custom pose completely unique to said color combo (usually Circle/Happy).

Maraquan Lutari- I designed the Maraquan Lutari in 2018, and shortly after drew the Circle, Happy, Sad, and Ranged Attack poses. In 2022, I finished the rest of its poses so it could be used on Virtu.pet.

Plushie Lutari- The colors were altered from the official design at the request of Virtu.pet's site runner, Felix, after community feedback.

Halloween Wocky- A Halloween Wocky rework based on vintage Halloween decorations.

Original Pet Species - Centibyte (2018-2026)

A longtime personal project- over the course of 8 years, I designed a variant of Centibyte for each paint brush color, as if they were a real pet that had existed on Neopets.com (except Void; I need to make that one still). In 2026, I created the other 8 poses for the basic Centibyte.

For this project, I attempted to match the Neopets style and design philosophy as closely as possible. Post conversion designs were made with wearables in mind and removable from the base pet as separate clothing items; and colors with unique poses that existed pre-conversion were given pre-conversion designs and artwork first, then adapted said designs to fit the post-conversion mold- this helped them to feel more authentic.

Small Edits, Item Revamps and Custom Item Assets - 2022 - 2023

Mostly edits of existing items to match other redesigned artwork for characters and pets, ranging from:

simple edits (removing the undereye markings from the Coconut JubJub, editing new artwork onto the stamps, changing the flower on the Kiko morphing potion)

recreating the original art with extensive reworks (the plushies, nesting dolls, and Lenny morphing potion)

custom artwork. (Coconut JubJub Keychain was completely redrawn to replace the Coconut Keyring, the Sneef is an original Petpetpet design made for fun and is not actually available on Virtu.pet)

Care is made with all item assets to check for legibility at 80x80px, to ensure they match the look and image quality of existing official assets as closely as possible.

Simple Neopet Recolors + Island Redesigns - 2022 - 2023

Some simple recolors of existing base lineart, and in the case of the Lenny, basing all 9 poses attempting to match the original base Lenny artwork as closely as possible.

Island redesigns were created carefully with Virtu.pet's other Island redesigns in mind, and with consideration for preserving inoffensive elements of the original designs, like the Lenny's birdlike wing markings and the Kiko's inverted values and floral accessory.

The Pastel and Candy Kikos have original designs to Virtu.pet that don't match the official Neopets.com designs.

Vandagyre Redesign and Poses -2022

These were a personal project to make a Vandagyre in the style of 2005 era Neopets art assets, complete with all 9 pre-conversion poses. Since pre-conversion pets didn't need to be designed with ease of wearing clothing in mind, I chose to tweak the Vandagyre's design to have slightly more owl-like proportions and anatomy.

I made all 9 poses in the four basic colors and cloud, and gave Virtu.pet permission to use them and the PSDs so that other team members could use them to create more recolors.

Lizark Redesign and Colors- 2023

Art revamp of the Lizark petpet for Virtu.pet, to fit with the site's reworking of many island and tribal themed items. The Christmas Lizark was reworked to have a design based on a paper snowflake, due to discussions among the art team about potentially reworking the Christmas color to a more general 'winter' themed concept in the future.
