I've been drying flowers and plants all autumn without a plan, and finally used them up.

Lover's tea recipe:

1 tbsp Damiana

1 whole clove

Pinch of cinnamon

1 rosebud

Steep for 10 minutes and add honey if desired. One tea bag is strong enough to be used twice.

I made this for myself to heighten the mood, but my husband liked it so much he asked me to make him a cup as well. 🥰

Goldenrod blooms and leaves from my yard

Picked in the late morning, after the dew dried but before the heat of the day

Tied upside down to dry in a dark well ventilated place for 3 weeks

Edible parts: all above-ground parts including blooms and leaves.

Goldenrod is high in flavonoid antioxidants and saponins, and has a higher antioxidant activity than green tea. Saponins act as an anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer agent, and inhibit vaginal yeast infections improving urinary health and reducing inflammation. Saponins can also protect from cell damage due to free radicals.

Goldenrod Tea:

(goldenrod is also a diuretic so be prepared to pee. A lot)

1/2 Tbsp dried or fresh goldenrod blooms and leaves per cup of hot water

Steep 5-10 minutes

Most delicious with honey
