wait, hugtto has pedophilia? could you elaborate? if it's a one-off episode I might just skip that, but if it's a huge arc then I won't watch it at all

I was about to log off on mobile when I saw this in my inbox so techically this will be my final final post on the blog.

To answer your question Nonny, while I have (and never will) watched Hugtto, I have heard about the controversy in that particular season through a mutual of mine and the Precure tag on here. So to summarize, there are 2 timelines in Hugtto, the present day and a bad future. The bad future was caused through the lead Cure'se (Hana Nono/Cure Yell) lack of self esteem via not being able to give herself the haircut that gave her confidence in the present day timeline. As a result, she would be groomed by George Kurai (the main villain of Hugtto) over several years, eventually marry him and have a child (Hagumi; aka. Hugtan/Cure Tomorrrow) with him. While she still bacame a Cure in the bad future, Hana's low self esteem gradually got bad enough that she committed suicide, causing George to break down and create an evil organization that could time travel to the present day with his own daughter fighting against him. Even turned back into a baby while in the past, Hagumi was outrigh fearful of ther own father and what he could potentailly do. The current Hana stilll ends up being predated on by her husband from the 'bad end' era during the lead up to the season's finale and having Hagumi even in the 'good ending' timeline.

It's pretty frustrating whenever Western fans completely ignore/overlook this major factor in Hugtto to endlessly praise it for it being a revoutionary installment for the Precure franchise.

Extreamely important life/blog update

It's with a heavy heart that I'm announcing I will be leaving Tumblr.. This is primarily because of my weakening eye sight. As you may have noticed, I've been posting less and less. It was on November 2, 2025 that I put too much strain on my left eye while recommending anime to a YouTuber I'm subbed to. Doing that caused my eye pressure to become too high the next day and my vision has been shifting between semi-good and barely being able to see much since then. There will be a followup consultation with my cornea specialist on what to do about the issue in the near future. As it stands, I realized I can't go on with the way I am now and have made the difficult decisions to no longer blog for the sake of my vision. I hope all of you understand. I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who's interacted, followed me and supported me through my blogging adventures over the past 5 years. Farewell, Tumblr.
