Ok im awake and on break so I'll ramble a bit. Keeping it below.
I like agender and nonbinary headcanons but that's 100% projection. There's no specific way to identify with gender, it's all a spectrum it's all a big mess, I'm just having fun.
Um I do like the thought of them both being agender but for different reasons.
Maybe Bruce thinks about gender in a more apathetic way. Being a man is just the most convenient. No need to correct anyone, he isn't upset by it. But he also feels the same about being perceived in any other way. It's less of "I don't fit with any identities" and more "I don't care what you see me as, as long as it's not inconvenient for me".
When he figures it out, he's just like "Hm. Noted." and moves on with his life. Like, its nice to have that figured out, but it doenst change much about how he carries himself through life. I think if he did decide to use other pronouns, he wouldn't tell anyone outside of close family and friends. You unlock she/her pronouns only if Bruce likes you /j

So Clark. I think um. I think a lot of people are better at explaining superman, masculinity, and queerness as connected concepts. I'm very bad at putting it into words! But I see it and like. Even if he isn't trans, Clark definitely has to have some feelings about being a man, being superman, and being a literal icon for masculinity and strength to the public. It's a label put into him, even if he likes the label, he didn't choose it.
He is already so different as a kryptonian who grew up on earth, around humans. Adding gender stuff to that is a whole other mess. I don't see him addressing any thoughts about that unless forced to. Because he isn't like. Sad about being superman. He likes being superman and isn't upset about being a man.
But being put into a box, being forced to conform, fitting in, he already does that with hiding his powers. I see a guy hiding a side of himself from friends, living a double life. I see a guy whose parents encouraged him to fit in while growing up in fear of him being treated badly or taken away. It just fits well to me, even if the metaphor is a little obvious. But he has a job rn so there's no time for that.
I think it's funny if they fuse, see the other has vastly different perspectives on gender, and that jumpstarts something in one or both of their brains. Maybe they do something about it, naybe the bury it in the back of their minds and ignore it, who knows.
While i think Bruce is more apathetic on gender, Clark is open to everything. Clark being able to explore multiple aspects and being seen in many ways is just fun for me personally. I also think his life wouldn't change much as a result, he still goes by Clark and Superman, he uses he/him still. He just uses every other pronoun too. For fun. Lol. Maybe he gets a lil gnc with it.
Anyway thats my headcanon ramblings. Funnily enough my own experience leans more towards Bruce but it's fun to think of other perspectives.
It's kind of a specific flavor that mostly in the Midwest/Michigan, but ita one of my fave ice cream flavors!
