Naomi singing in an empty room with good acoustics is what heaven sounds like
eveofneveâ:
âShit, Cerys,â Neve huffed with a hand up in defense, eyes slightly wide and heart thundering against her chest. âYou scared the hell out of me.â Still, a laugh filtered through and her hand fell back towards her side, âHow long have you been waiting outside the store for me? You creep.â The tease was an affectionate one. Ever since the two had met back in university together, Neve had come to see Cerys as a good friend - and more importantly, someone to protect. The other woman was as sweet and kind and optimistic as ever, and it scared Neve. The world could be so cruel to girls like her. âFine, fine - Iâll go with you. But youâre buying after that little stunt.âÂ
âBad conscience or something there, Neve?â Cerys smiled, though she felt bad she startled her so badly as she had been aiming for a mere tiny jump, not a heart attack. âNot that long, however if it had been five minutes more I wouldâve gone inside.â She shrugged, not necessarily liking todayâs cold breeze and she definitely had the inkling that it was going to rain today. âWas already planning on paying, so I got you covered.â She snickered, linking her arm with Neveâs and walking into a direction with her. âSo how was work?â
akaleahwhitmoreâ:
After a few minutes, the studio was empty again and the last participant of Sashaâs class approached her for a quick post-workout chat. The redhead loved connecting with her participants, it was one of her favorite parts of the job, especially when she managed to ignite a fire in them that they hadnât known was inside them. She had noticed a few new faces in todayâs class, the young woman in front of her being one of them. âThanks, Iâm glad you enjoyed it,â she smiled. âI was going to ask if you were new, I donât think Iâve seen you in my class before. but that explains it. You were doing pretty well for a first-timer. If you keep it up, youâll have great technique in no time!â
âVery much so.â Cerys confirmed just to get the message across. At the womanâs compliment however she smiled, having felt like she was doing an awful job at keeping up with the rest but her words definitely gave her some confidence. âThank you. I was definitely struggling on a lot of things but I plan to be here as much as I can. Iâve a rather busy schedule with exams and two different jobs but this is the perfect way to unwind.âÂ
evieluiâ:
âThatâs the point though, we will suck but weâll get better,â she decided. Evie wiped her hands on her jeans, the were so clammy and it wouldnât seem to stop. âToxic masculinity is just a pile of crap,â she said, glancing down at the floor. âShall we call an Uber and head back to mine? I donât know about you but I am not ready to be alone right now.â
âWell if youâre game, I totally am.â Somehow it seemed less scary with Evie there. Something about doing the training and sports to protect herself in the future was unnerving, but she felt stronger with the other there. It would all work out in the end, she was sure of it. âYeah me neither. My dad is working late nights so I never see him until the morning if Iâm lucky.â And that just alone depended on if he was awake already by the time she was headed to work or class. âUber sounds good. Want to check out a Tesco or Sainsburyâs before we go? Stock up?â She definitely had the munchies after what theyâd just been through.Â
dancersabrinawâ:
Sabrina stood there, the bottles were confusing, she was so close to just go for her original idea of getting her normal but she wanted to change it up. She smiled for a moment as she looked over at the girl for moment, âOh right well I mean Rhubarb and Ginger sound nice but Palma Violets bottle is pretty. Wait youââre a student and you havenât tried all different kinds of gin let alone alcohol? Sorry not trying to judge.â She shrugged for a moment.Â
âNot unless theyâre being used in a cocktail in the city. But I never really buy any in the supermarket.â She defended herself, though not out of necessity, but more to explain what exactly she meant. She did of course not count the beer her father had in the fridge, though she preferred the beers with a fruit extract in them. She preferred those much more. âOh thatâs okay. Iâve had plenty of friends who looked at me with the same wide eyes and mouth all agape, Iâm used to it.âÂ
If you could get anybody in your bed right now (with consent) who would you choose?
âProbably Evie. Because she was the best I ever had and she made me feel confident about myself⌠Yeah, Evie.â
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
âI donât know.. Iâve only ever known London.. But I suppose living in India would be a great next choice? Just fingers crossed I wonât run into my mom there.âÂ

Where: The park When: Early afternoon Who: @gabrielagarcicâ
âOkay I really donât understand how Iâm supposed to do this.â Cerys groaned, trying to put her feet in a certain position that Gabriela had tried to show her but being a dancer wasnât in the cards for her... Ever. She couldnât figure out how to do a âattitudeâ without looking like she was going to fall over any given time. Maybe she just wasnât hardcore enough to do it. âAll the more respect for you, but Iâm not made for the stage.âÂ
Where: Outside of the BBC News Studio When: early morning Who: @seanjmitchellâ
Who had said this was a good idea? What on earth was she thinking? She happened to have a free Thursday to herself and she figured the best way to start it would have been by taking a run. She took the bus all the way from home so that she would have no other choice but to run back... Or walk.. Probably walk. She was three minutes in when she was already regretting it, and she saw her opportunity for a break when she saw a keycard fall from someoneâs bag as he had been rummaging through it. Stopping to grab it from the ground, she held it up as she called out for the man. âExcuse me!â She called out, holding the card higher when their eyes locked. âI think you dropped this --â A pause as she turned her gaze away to read his name on the card. âMr Mitchell? BBC?âÂ
Where: Outside of the thrift shop When: 6:15 PM Who: @eveofneveâ
âSurprise!â Cerys jumped in front of Neve as she exited the thrift shop, figuring she might like some down time after a day at work. She wouldâve walked in to ask if it was alright in the first place but it wasnât like her to surprise someone like she just did, so maybe it would be a nicer surprise than it wouldâve been.. Did that even make sense? âI really want some chilli cheese fries and I was hoping you were too? Dad is out of the city this weekend so Iâm also really desperate for company.. Please?â
It's question time! Did you do anything this week that your parents wouldn't approve of? If so, what?
âThatâs a scary question. Iâd like to think I make him proud every day. I know he wants me to stand up for myself more, so he might disapprove of how Iâm not as brave as he might want me to be? And there might be the big elephant in the room that I have yet to break to him.â she was totally talking about the fact she kissed girls rather than boys.
âFairy tales were not my escape from reality as a child; rather, they were my reality -- for mine was a world in which good and evil were not abstract concepts, and like fairy-tale heroines, no magic would save me unless I had the wit and heart and courage to use it widely.â

At the comment Sophie nodded, âthough isnât any night a tequila kind of night?â she suggested, ordering the two drinks and beckoning the girl to sit in the empty barstool next to her. âSo, how come you ended up here alone, did your friends leave you to get laid too?â she asked plainly, too many drinks in to worry about being subtle. When the drinks arrived she slid one to the brunette, putting some salt onto her hand before passing that over.
âYou got me there.â She mused, sitting down onto the barstool, allowing the womanâs question wash over her. She wished it had been something like that. At least that wouldnât make her come over as pathetic as the real reason. âI got stood up actually. Shouldâve known, she lost her enthusiasm a few days ago already but I had assumed that was just my imagination.â Online dating had never been her cup of tea. So far she booked most process with actual encounters, but she never had the nerve to actually step up to someone and ask them out. âYour friends left you behind to get laid? Priorities girl.â She huffed, leaving the salt shaker for what it was. She was more a âsqueeze the lime into the tequila and drink itâ kind of girl, even if a lot of people judged her for it. âBottomâs up.â She uttered, chugging the content of the glass.âÂ
edisonbeaumontâ:
âYouâve got to be joking.â
His displeasure was palpable but didnât appear to be quite warranted by the letter & torn envelope in his hand. âSorry,â He muttered to the individual closest. He shook his head, rolling his eyes. âThe manâs forty-one years old & heâs still trying to have a stag party.â
She had to admit that she had completely noticed the manâs dismay at something he had been reading, and she had seen plenty of envelopes like that at the homes of her friends who had gone to a stag party before. The man had obviously seen her meddle in his business as he addressed her next, and at his words she chuckled. âWell, better late than never, I suppose?â She would still love for her father to have a stag party in the future. Amber, her mother, had definitely done him dirty by leaving him like that. Her poor father had never been married while he would have been a perfect husband -- Even Cerys could see that. âYou going? I bet there will be strippers.âÂ
akaleahwhitmoreâ:
location: one of the gyms Leah gives classes at â one is in Southwark, one is in Battersea and one is in Shoreditch. time: Friday evening.
It had been about eight months since Sasha had moved from the states to London to start a new life, new name and everything  â not that it had been by choice; witness protection had made it necessary. The truth was, she was still struggling with it, the loneliness getting to her more often than not. Having left her dream career behind, she had ended up pursuing her past passion for martial arts and fitness, now working as a gym instructor and personal trainer full-time. While it kept her sane and afloat, it certainly wasnât what she had wanted to do with her life. But, truly, she couldnât change it anymore at this point. It was Friday evening, her martial arts based group exercise class had just ended and she made her way over to the studio door, her red hair pulled back into a now rather messy ponytail. âWell done, team, give yourself a big round of applause! My name is Leah, Iâll be at the door for questions and feedback, but mostly for high fives â you know, if youâre interested in a sweaty one,â she grinned. âI hope you all have a lovely weekend if I donât see you for my Sunday class.â And with that, she opened the door and waited for people to pass her, holding out her hand for high fives and giving each one of her participants a radiant smile.Â
Ever since her encounter with Mr. Creepy and Unwanted, her father had made sure she was going to put some time into classes that would help defend her next time, one of them being martial arts. She thought she was going to hate it and truthfully she was absolutely exhausted at the end of class but she had loved every minute of it. While everyone dispersed to go home or do some cooling down training downstairs, she took her time putting on her vest as she wanted to talk to the instructor before leaving. She had hurried inside just in time for the start of the class that she didnât have the time to properly introduce herself as the new member of the group, and she figured that would only be the most decent thing to do. âThat class was amazing.â Cerys said after drinking some of the water from her bottle, towel draped over her shoulder she had just used to wipe the sweat from her brow. âIâm Ciri, by the way, this was my first class.âÂ
