You two had settled somewhere down the beach shore after deciding to ditch the bonfire your friends had held-not going too far from the group of people, but just enough so that you two could talk with no distractions. You started to get bored after Haechan had ditched you for Mark and Jeno, leaving you by yourself surrounded by people you didn’t know. Jaemin had noticed you were alone and decided to swoop in, not before pushing his feelings for you aside to not make a fool out of himself.

The sound of the waves crashing down on the shore engulfed the silence between you two as you looked into each others eyes, glimmers of the stars reflecting off his coffee colored eyes. He confessed his feelings for you prior to you asking him what he wanted to do which caught you off guard. You wouldn’t have expected Jaemin to feel the same way towards you as you did to him.

Can I hold your hand?

His question caused your cheeks to turn a hue of pink you were sure anyone could see, despite the sun having been long set. Nodding, you placed an open hand out, waiting for his fingers to interlock with yours . He smiles and connects his hand with yours, instantly warming them up. You smile back at him, placing your head on his shoulder.

“I knew it” says Haechan, still at the bonfire, after looking for you-only to spot you cuddling up with Jaemin.
