“But there was no’hing to do up there. Thought I could help here…” He genuinely thought he could help, guess he just wasn’t in time. And now? Now he really didn’t know how he could be of help to anyone. At least Gamora was there, maybe she knew where the others were. “Yeah, that arrow was great…” He commented, seemingly drifting into memories. But there was something else, something he was forgetting. “Arrow! I have that arrow! But… am no good at controlling it.”

Gamora let out a pity smile. She did feel bad for Kraglin, suddenly being on your own wasn’t easy. “You tried to help, that’s the important part.” She gently patted his shoulder. There wasn’t much she could do for him, other than just be there for him. “You could learn, everything just takes time. I didn’t just pick up a sword and win fights out of nowhere, it took lots of practice. I’m sure there is a forest around here you could work in?”

Bucky had a loud ringing in his left ear he couldn’t get to stop. It was loud at first and after a few open and close movements with his lower jaw seem to dull. He didn’t even hear what the green woman asked him. Wait, green woman? Wasn’t the person who turned green a man, and bigger?  "What?“ He asked tapping on his left ear. "HOLD ON.” Hes houted. “CANT HEAR YOU!”

Gamora tried to resist the urge to roll her eyes, but could not. She still could not believe she had fallen for a Terran man. She took a seat on the bench next to her, and waited. There wasn’t time for this, she needed to find the others. There was no rest when you were a mom to 2 grown men, a raccoon, a teenage tree, and Mantis. Somehow Mantis was the only responsible one out of them. “Can you hear me yet?”

All of this was weird, he’s only been in 2019 for two hours and he’s learned a lot about this generation. For one they’re all addicted to their cellphones, which are so not like the ones he’s seen back in the 90′s. They were chunky and had an antenna but the ones here were sleek, slender and had something called a touch screen. Another thing Erik has learned is that you can watch literally anything on these cell phones or a tablet and you stream it through a program called Netflix. And Erik learned all this from going into a store called Apple, which was a weird name for a company. He was messing around on his new cellphone when he heard the comment and he looked up toward the sky. “No, it usually isn’t. I’m assuming it has something to do with this comet though.”

Gamora nodded her head. “Living on a planet without stars would be boring. Must be some comet though. Never heard of one doing this before.” If it had been the old Gamora, she would have blamed it on the inferior Terran technology. While the tech was bad, there was no need to call a random stranger out on it. It seemed unlikely he would be able to fix a whole planets shortcomings. “Do we just have to wait it out then, or do you guys have something to shoot it down with?” If she could find her ship, she could probably do it. Then again, it wasn’t her job to look out for this planet, apparently they already had a group of people for it.

Peggy had been walking for hours now with her terribly injured left leg. Her cryogen pod must have failed and she didn’t turst anyone in this timeline. She had a terrible feeling that while it was no longer 1949, it wasn’t 2049 yet either. And whichever year it was, something was wrong. The sun hasn’t been up and even if she woke up at sundown, it was supposed to be day already.

She snapped her up and turned around to the source of voice and her hand moved on it’s on, grabbing her very much out of fashion pistol. “What are you?” she asked, as she couldn’t help herself due to shock and fascination. She was…green.

Everything about the woman was a surprise to her. She most likely wouldn’t have asked if she had seen see was injured. “I’m a Zehoberei. So yes, I am green, it’s natural. Yes, it is insensitive to ask, but no, I will not get mad at you for it.” If the woman hadn’t been injured, she probably would have been more upset with it.

“Why don’t we put the weapon down, and find you somewhere to sit, huh? I really don’t think walking is good for you.” Slowly, she started to walk towards the other woman, trying not to get shot. Inadvertently killing her was not the goal.

“well this isn’t the time of  ‘totally radical’ and pagers,“ carol sighed, pulling at her pager on her belt and frowning when the signal was all but dead. the comet had made its appearance and though she knew it was something unique - she hadn’t actually expected it to be such an impact to the earth.

she was on her way to finding fury and goose when it hit and now she found herself… somewhere shifted in time. frowning, she began to search around, looking for anyone that might have a clue as to what’s going on. spotting someone in the distance, she called out to them, moving closer. “hey, you have any idea as to what’s going on here? my pager’s shot and i’m detecting serious levels of  power.”

the woman was speaking, but gamora did not understand any of the words coming out of her mouth. it sounded like the things peter would say to purposely trying to confuse her. “i do not know what totally radical nor pagers are. they don’t sound like something that’s going to help us.”

she regretting coming down to the planet. really she could have just stayed on the ship. one trip to stretch your legs and suddenly the stars disappear. if there could not be some kind of crisis for one week, she would be ever so grateful. “It’s your planet, shouldn’t you know these things? technology not working doesn’t seem like a big deal. happens all the time.”

                   ⭐️  ————–     “NO.” It was hard not to stare at the green skinned woman standing before her, eyes glued to the sky. Being in another era was one thing but aliens? Perhaps it shouldn’t have enchanted her as much as it should but Anna couldn’t help it; despite being a mutant sometimes she was just the little girl from Missouri. “I’m sorry – where are you from again?” 

Gamora thought by now the Terrans would be used to aliens, but apparently not. She could tell the woman wasn’t being offensive, but more curious. Being green was not normal on this planet, unfortunately. “I didn’t say, but Zen-Whoberi. It’s a planet far from here, but it doesn’t exist anymore. So the correct answer would be just space.”

Gamora felt weird, there was no other way to put it. Her whole body just felt heavy. If she had to guess, it was that the mechanics inside of her were failing, but that shouldn’t have been possible. Everything seemed normal, except for the fact the sky was completely dark. While not uncommon on certain planets, as far as she knew Terra was supposed to have stars, and a sun. “Your sky isn’t usually like this, right?” She could be wrong, all the planets started to blur together at some point.

“I should’ve stayed in space, in my ship.” Kraglin commented, although he wasn’t even sure somebody was there, listening to him. After searching for his friends, with no positive outcome, he just found himself lying down on the bench, staring up at the unusually dark sky. “Wonder what Cap’n would do.” He muttered, trying to picture Yondu in this situation, only to be reminded of the cold reality. He wasn’t there. He’d never be there again.

“Yeah, you really should have.” Gamora was glad there was at least one familiar face around, but she wished it was one of the Guardians instead. She would have even taken Drax, at least he would have made decent company. She leant on the edge of the bench. “Probably whistle and hope for the best with that arrow, or hatch some scheme to get out of here. He was rather good at that.” While she didn’t spend a ton of time with the man, she knew that Yondu was a good guy.
