he had wondered if she’d use that name, or perhaps one of the others his network of information had offered up to him for a pretty price. it was a starting point, at least, & told him that she was at least aware of the potential danger there was of lying to him in his own domain. at least, he had to hope she had that sort of sense about her. he moves, boots hitting the ground lightly & sprinkling the hardwood with bits of mud that won’t be there when he moves away. Death lingers, but not longer than She has to in this space. ‘ I knew an al-Ghul once, ’ he says mildly. ‘ he contributed an interesting chemical composition to my library and greenhouse, but we declined to keep in touch further. ’ he can hear the animals moving up the stairs but even as the two of them waddle up with a click of nails & swish of fur, he knows Dust is still there, silently stalking the two of them. ‘ I can see the resemblance. what brings the daughter of an old acquaintance to my door, then? it was unlike your father to politely request things, so I’m surprised at your tenacity. how can I help you? ’
"My father, most likely." It didn't surprise her that her father had visited him. Their family tended to play with things that most would find problematic and this one was one of the few who understood the things they tended to do. She wondered if maybe he hadn't left the composition of his lazarus pit. Even though his required specific locations, hers did not. Unfortunately, hers came about in a way she didn't like to think about. All of that aside, Talia was relieved that he finally agreed to meet with her and while the location was odd it was better than nothing at all. "I'm in search of a particular plant and one that rarely grows outside one of the most remote locations on the planet," she explained, wondering if the rumours she'd heard were true. If he had one of these plants, if he had a way of cultivating it outside of the mountains surrounding Nanda Parbat, then she was in luck. Maybe he would even give her the secrets of keeping it alive outside the mountains. First things first and she needed to find out if he had the plant before she asked him to explain his processes. "My father tends to demand things and when that doesn't work he takes. I'd like to think I'm better than that," she explained, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. She was unlike Ra's and hated to be compared to him. But if that was the price she had to pay for this meeting so be it. "As I said I'm looking for a plant and I've heard you just might have it."
