everywhere he turns he’s reminded of another memory against his will and the darkness that lies in some of those memories brings back an anger and disgust he can’t contain. his eyes take on that familiar green glow as he whips around, lips pulled up into a snarl to scare away whoever’s calling to him. it all comes to a sudden halt when he immediately recognizes his teammate and the green glow that radiates around him begins to die away, leaving behind only the sheer surprise julian wears prominently across his features. “kevin,” he states, not quite warming up to his so called friend. long ago he considered kevin a friend, a part of his small family, even if kevin was always more reserved than the rest of his team. that had all changed when kevin, like so many others, abandoned his team. “what are you doing here?” he asks coldly. “are you gonna run away again like a maldito cobarde this time around?”
kevin knows he deserves what julian is saying to him but it still stings hearing it. he cant bring himself to look at julian but he takes a slow step forward before he stops again. “I’m here for the same reason you are,” he says. there’s a moment where annoyance is clear on his face but he lets the bitterness pass before he speaks again. “you know why I left the first time around, julian. don’t pretend that you don’t, i thought that you of all people would understand why I left.”
