Live nation is reported to be close to signing a deal to operate the historic met, located on North Broad St., in between Poplar and Parrish, as a new concert venue in "New Center City." For years, we've undervalued or have even abandoned valuable land in North, South and West Philadelphia, because it was "the hood." Not knowing that this short-term mindstate plays into the plans of city planners and foreign developers. If we continue to take our neighborhoods for granted, we'll continue to be on the outside looking in.
