Everyone agrees, should probably tell my mom about system shit, see how she reacts, and if she's chill, then tell her about Doll. Problem: in spite of my 6 months of research, she will most likely not believe me. Secondary problem: I'd have to actually talk to her about it, which fucking sucks. Tertiary problem: she has straight up said that systems are either traumagenic or internet-genic, and does not seem to be a huge fan of the idea that systems can live relatively normal ass lives. Which one can imagine would be a Slight Issue.

okay yeah it went relatively fine. My moms mostly cool. I trust her somewhat more. It felt like she was dismissing my arguments and saying I need to see a therapist cause what the fuck at first. She was actually just saying that hey thats neat and additionally should probably see a therapist.could have gone better, but could have gone much worse. Something my dad told me about driving (well, he didn't tell me specifically, just told everyone in the car, but still) is that he always acts like everyone on the road is an idiot, including himself. Never been in a crash, I don't think. He's driven the brick on wheels we call a van, filled with people and objects, for 1000 miles, basically nonstop, and gotten us to the end happy and healthy. Suffice to say, I trust him on that.

I've noticed I tend to talk to Doll mainly when there's no other people awake. People just not being around is, for whatever reason, not enough, and people being asleep literally one room over is perfectly fine. It's probably because it's easier to focus on her if I don't have to worry as much about listening for a door to open. I should probably work on communicating with her outside of the hours between 2:00 and 8:00 though.
