Hey.

A tree frog in Jember, Indonesia, shelters from the rain under a leaf. The amphibian reportedly held the leaf for 30 minutes before the storm passed.
I am not happy.

Thanks for answering these questions!! Just a couple more things I'm wondering... is it really expensive? Will I get my money back if I decide not to do it? And are you required to live in the house?
The price depends on which house you decide on. There's usually a fee to go through recruitment because they give you a bunch of goodies, and then theres an annual fee to the sorority called dues. If you decided to not rush a house, you likely wont get your recruitment fee back, but you will get your dues payment back. Most houses require a minimum of 1 year live in which is during your sophomore year. Love answering these for you!
does your sorority pressure you to drink?
Not at all. The opportunity to party is there but nobody cares if you decide to or not. They mostly just want you to participate in going out together, the drinking is optional.
Ask me more things about sorority/greek life! I love it.
i'm thinking of joining a sorority, can you tell me a bit about what theyre like?
I'd love to tell you about what I know of my university's Greek life.
First of all, every campus's Greek life is different and run differently.
On my campus, philanthropy and academia are the two most important aspects of any chapter. Therefore, we all benefit immensely from the volunteer opportunities we're provided, as well as the academic support from not only those in our chapter, but other chapters as well.
Aside from that, the sisterhood is something remarkable. You become friends with girls you may have not even thought twice about or even had the chance to befriend. These are friends for life, bonded through sisterhood. Literally, they will be there for you through thick and thin.
Beneath all of that is the social aspect (and benefits) that accompany being in a sorority. For me, it really helped expand my social circle. If I hadn't joined, I'd still be hanging out with girls from my high school. I always have plans on the weekend (thursday-saturday).
To sum it up, sororities are what you make it. What you put in, is what you get out. I highly recommend you go through your schools recruitment and see if it suits you. There is no shame or hurt feelings by deciding to not join a chapter.
did your sorority haze you?
Lol no not at all.
We have a no hazing policy and it is strictly followed. If a sorority ever hazes, I think it'd be ridiculous for a girl to willingly go through with pledging that chapter.
The last of my summer schedule literally went to shit in a matter of seconds.
I don't exactly want to live in my sorority house.
Not like I don't love the girls in it, but I need breathing room.
I honestly don't think I'll get to see my other friends this year because of the mandatory live-in rule sorority girls have on campus.
Yo, bye guys.
