One of the things I love about Eden (my Eden specifically of course) is that he is a severely insecure and self-loathing man who is ashamed of his flaws but is simultaneously vain in that he believes he is better than most people and the only one deserving of Augustin. He has no typical accomplishments to show for, nothing to decorate himself to prove "I'm a good man living a good life" and can't take most compliments. He even knows he's not actually that strong, and he picks his fights carefully. But you can also clearly tell he feels entitled to most things, that he should be allowed to take without permission or regard for others. He's the kind of man that will only allow the kind of love he wants as if he still had the luxury of options, where a truly insecure person would take whatever they could get from anybody or shun all indiscriminately.

I might not show it as much in my art, but between the two of them, Augustin would be the one most miserable if Eden was interested in someone else, and he's constantly insecure about it. Whereas Eden doesn't even think it's possible Augustin would leave him (and he's right).
