Love how most of these are tea related!
More relevant than ever in these trying times!

Tea is an act complete in its simplicity. When I drink tea, there is only me and the tea. The rest of the world dissolves. There are no worries about the future. No dwelling on past mistakes. Tea is simple: loose-leaf tea, hot pure water, a cup. I inhale the scent, tiny delicate pieces of the tea floating above the cup. I drink the tea, the essence of the leaves becoming a part of me. I am informed by the tea, changed. This is the act of life, in one pure moment, and in this act the truth of the world suddenly becomes revealed: all the complexity, pain, drama of life is a pretense, invented in our minds for no good purpose. There is only the tea, and me, converging.

new matcha tools! the whisk and spoons were a gift. the bowl is a cheap but functional one from amazon and the matcha is from capital teas in washington dc ✨🍵 making and enjoying matcha in the traditional way is a great way to take a break for yourself in the middle of the day!
I recently acquired a matcha set (pics to come!) but this is the first time I've managed to get an even crema on top of my matcha after whisking. I'm so proud!!

tea, yes. you, maybe.
Here are some pictures from Verdigris Tea and Chocolate Bar in Hudson, New York. "Verdigris" refers to the patina that forms on copper, but there's nothing rusty about this fresh and lovely store. It sells a selection of teas, fine chocolates, baked goods, gourmet candy, and cafe drinks. My boyfriend and I recently visited and we loved it! The tea selection is large and includes many flavored teas, as well as a few "top shelf" options like gyokuro and pricier oolongs. They also have a few estate assams. Additionally, they sell tea ware from brands like Bodum and (my favorite) ForLife. All of their teas are served at their cafe portion, and are available hot or iced. The cafe also serves a great lavender lemonade and has several types of hot chocolate. This is a perfect place for someone with a sweet tooth and a penchant for flavored teas. Also, between the gorgeous artisan chocolate and the selection of loose leaf, you could put together a great gift basket! Finally this also seems like a pleasant place to hang out and chat with friends - when we went, the seating area was mostly occupied by a local knitting society.
I didn’t used to like tea when I was young, but now I really enjoy tea. >u<
