— gege, you know reading is the epitome of my demise ... how could you ask me this when ... i haven't finishied reading anything of the sort ... i have to rethink this relationship ( my current favorite is a poem book, artemis made me do it )

do you fall in love easily?

— chaeyoung in 2015 would undoubtedly say yes. she was the kind of girl who welcomed any opportunity. she never felt that anyone could do her wrong, yet those who she let in gave her a difficult time believing if being in love was worth it. 2022, chaeyoung, would say no but yes at the same time. she did easily fall in love with vernon. something about him kept giving her a mindset that he would be worth another heartbreak and she's still lucky that she fell in love with him.

who’s your 3 am thought?

my 3 a.m. thought? when vernon is around, it's my mother. i wonder if she's doing fine, if work is treating her okay and if she would like to hang out soon, but of course, sometimes our schedules don't match. she's busy with her company while i'm busy with my own activities. i miss her, but i know she only does it as she's a renowned workaholic and she enjoys working overseas from time to time. but when vernon isn't around and i'm miles away, it's immediately vernon. i wonder if he ate. did he enjoy mingyu oppa's food? did oppa consider my seasoning ratio? did vernon drink enough water today? did he iron his clothes because he has a habit of tossing his clothes and hoping for the best with those wrinkles? i always wonder if he's doing alright without me, because he's sensitive to the distance, yet he knows sometimes these things cannot be helped. i hope he can manage and succeed through it.

have you met your soul mate?

we all have these different perceptions of a soul mate, though mine may be different to what others may believe. to me, a soul mate is someone who is willing to stick by you no matter what, to look after you, and to tell you what you need to hear.

what was your favorite color when you were younger and now?

my favorite color was red, and it's still red. it is pretty silly to still have the same color after so many years have passed, but the color red always seems to make me reminisce of sweet memories. for instance, my strawberry farm. the amount of red i saw that day for such a harvest, especially as a first time farmer, made me so happy. another time was when you knitted me the red scarf from that kdrama, goblin. i asked since it was your first scarf and commission i had asked since that drama is deeply cherished by me.

do you wear eye-shadow? what color?

i feel i'm going to denounce my abilities to be capable as a female or even hold feminine traits, but ... i don't really pay attention to those kinds of details. i let the stylists unnies do what they feel would suit me, but i'll have a say in graphic eyeliner.

are you in love right now?

— deeply in love.

 in your opinion, is love at first sight real?

if love at first sight were real, i wouldn't be dating the person i am currently dating. i don't think love at first sight is real, mostly because, as we rely so much on our vision, we only see what is presented on the outside of a person but never truly on the inside. so i think love at first impression is more my kind of love. you fall in love with what is offered and given to you instead of the visuals.

are you an optimist, realist, opportunist, or pessimist?

optimist pessimist? is that a kind i can use? i tend to be very bright and positive, but whenever i hit these lows, i don't try to see the bright side of the situation, but more that i am hopeless to the situation and easily give into it.

my first kiss, with vernon was a kiss to remember. it was the middle of november, the weather began to freeze every expose skin that was presented. a november love began to bloom, a shy kind of love. this guy from seventeen kept asking me to hang out with him, to watch this and that movie of course he would say "so-so is coming btw" as if just asking didn't seal the deal. we would watch movies until we were the only ones in the room, he didn't mind being alone with me. in fact, he was very happy yet bashful. you could really tell at the manner he would fiddle his fingers. a movie that ensured our kiss was last christmas, we watched how the heroine would undergo a development of happiness and to the end, there was a little "i like you." and without even hesitating he left. but i knew how he felt. the cozy winters with vernon made me appreciate his presence, we watched every christmas movie there could be until we watched a netflix series, dash and lily. it was a love that accidentally developed, similar to ours, and vernon told me again he liked me and he said a few things that made me feel how sincere he was. and through the end of finishing our series, i gave him a kiss and told him i had fun.

do you own stickers or stationery?

i own stickers. i have a lot that i use daily. i mostly change the decorations on my phone case so it matches whatever mood i am in or what interests me currently. so far, my phone case is a collage of penguins with strawberries.

what’s your aesthetic?

looking at pinterest aesthetics, i would say mine is cottage core. i am living my best strawberry shortcake life, yes?

do you wear dresses and skirts?

i wear dresses and skirts when i'm off work, and some skirts during work. mostly because of all the tattoos i have, especially this big one that i have on my back, but thanks to the stylists, no one can really tell what it is.

a small frown began to appear between the fullness of her cheeks, now becoming a very long face. looking back at the article of fabric, a little hat with those ears that you lift up with just one press of a button. chaeyoung thought it was rather cute, very cute for them both to wear while they embark on this time to spend together as friends. jennie was a darling friend to chaeyoung, yet she still managed to be quite intimidated by her. it was mostly due to the contrasts they held that outweighed against their similarities, but that never stopped chaeyoung from becoming close to her. with such slim fingers brushed on the silk-like faux fur as she pulled the hat close to jennie, beginning to whine and pout. usually this would work, but who knows if it worked for jennie?

You said that I changed, that I don’t mean what I say, that my love has cooled but that’s not it.

Another gloomy morning, a morning without you. my once warm vivid awakenings were now grim dreadful risings, how could things just become like this? Chaeyoung fluttered her eyes open to be met with an empty bed, a bed that was now a space that used to be filled with someone so dear, her person. Vernon, once was the sunlight that kissed her good morning — to wake her up blissfully and encourage her to begin a new day. The given joy of life and the grace of love eventually led her to an emotional grieving destruction once she threw her promise ring straight to the ground and left him. Her long slender fingers delved to her night stand, searching for her phone. With one swift movement, a bright illuminating light would tell her hello yet the screen was filled of nothingness: no notifications. Really? Nothing from you? Is this really how it’s going to be? A heavy sigh left her lips, feelings of hope began to shrivel up. Frustration mixed with agitation slowly began pouring in. Throwing her phone to the side of the mattress that didn’t feel like her own but a strangers, everything in this home felt incomplete. 

 Her eyes fell shut, her head dropping into her small palms. Chaeyoung continues to wonder: 

 Why are you only thinking of yourself? Will you just be there even if I don’t say anything sometimes? Is that so hard to do? Stop bothering me and let me breathe.
