oh that guy again !! // cakotopia:
Everything was muffled as the plant took in all of the information he'd been given, and his surroundings, from the feeling of multiple spikes digging into his neck in some sort of reverse wolf collar, to the smell of blood threatening to spill each time he moved his head to look anywhere.
He's staring dead ahead at the key on the floor in front of him and the human, as if there was nothing else in there. Just him, the shackle attaching him to the wall, and the key.
❛i almost drowned last time.❜
The words snap him out of his trance, Vash Looking up at the other. He remembers him, a nice young man he'd offered a drink. "I-" the plant finally speaks, his voice a bit hoarse from going unused, and because of the pressure there thanks to the morbid dog collar. Vash looks back to the key, then to the human again.
"You must have some awful dumb luck." he quips, still bewildered he'd found himself in such an oddly dire situation, gaze wandering back to the one object that would give them both freedom.
He needs that key.
Without saying much more Vash starts to move, almost forgetting the bite of the spikes lining the inside of the collar around his neck, and the chain attached to it. Because he needs to get that key, he needs to get out, and he needs to find the sick bastard who thought they could contain Vash the Stampede.
" Yeah, you could say I've been around the block before. "
Sat directly across from Vash, Adam idly toyed with the chain that bound his own collar to the wall. He definitely had slightly more mobility in this predicament than he did in that hellish bathroom. That was awfully kind of Larry.
He knew the rules, of fucking course he knew the rules. He both had been through this all before and had a part in this particular trap. He helped Lawrence with the construction of it all and was purposely acting as the bait, the pawn, simply another mechanism of this well oiled machine crafted by the doctor. A role not unlike the one he had back in The Bathroom, even if he wasn't aware of it then.
He readjusted slightly as he stayed seated, carefully so, as to not pull too much at the chain as it retracted ever so slightly further into the wall at every sudden, sharp bit of movement. Larry had given him a debriefing on the mechanics of everything before chaining him up in the mildly claustrophobic room.
The trap itself was simple enough from a conceptual standpoint; with careful precision, a little patience, and some assistance from the other party, you should be able to get the key with little fanfare. If you acted too recklessly or too hasty, the spikes lining the inside of the collar would dig into your neck and the chain connecting it to the wall would retract more, not unlike a seatbelt in some regards.
He cleared his throat, he didn't want to be too suspicious, plus it was creepy and weird to be dead silent in situations like this. He of all people would know!
" I've been in one of these things a while back. But like, I woke up submerged in a grimy ass bathtub. And, y'know, almost drowned for a second there. I lost the key then too. "
kick his shin or tread on his face!! pull his nose all over the place!! he can’t disfigure, or disgrace!!

What poisonous plant are you
Doll's Eyes
This is the poison of unchecked vices. You slip into hallucinations. You are wracked with convulsions. The delirium threatens to overwhelm you. What are you running from? You look in every direction, wild-eyed at every turn, seeking some reprieve from what torments you. Each vice brings new consequences, and the price of escape seems too great, and yet you cannot seem to face things head on. If you aren't running from yourself, I hope you find a true way to freedom soon. And if you are running from yourself, perhaps you would do well to realize your pain is not something you can simply escape by avoidance. You deserve healing just as much as the ones you love. Someday, soon I hope, you will know this and feel it and reach inward to grant yourself all the kindnesses you offer others. That is the only true way to peace for ones like us. Oh, and if the pain of it seems too great? I hope that you realize you don't have to do it alone.
