Cigarette pack in hand and soon shifting to take one in her mouth, she seemed to be considering it. Might as well since he seemed fine right? Only she got hurt in the process of chasing that woman even if he had rather questionable tastes in women. âThen alright Denji, though Iâm not sure if sheâll be hunting for now⊠I could get cleaned up and at least treat you to a meal since youâll be helping.â Might as well give the kid a reward for wanting to step up to the plate, that enthusiasm of his was enough to turn her once sour mood into something somewhat better. âI can probably go for getting us some ramen after I clean the blood off since my wife would wring my neck if I come home like this later.â
   âGuess for now if anyone asks Iâll just pretend Iâm youâre guardian or something. While we go after this woman of course, hope it doesnât interrupt your own job much.â Especially since Michi was assuming to begin with that it must be hard due to how devils and demons can get.
  His interest was immediately grabbed when Michi mentioned the tantalizing thought of food! Nothing caught Denjiâs attention quite like a freshly made bowl of ramen. Er, well... besides pretty ladies, but food? Food was definitely at the top of his list of âthings he salivated over.â Grinning from ear to ear, sharp and pointed teeth were exposed once more as he exclaimed, âFor realsie? Youâd really get me RAMEN??â It was a mixture of disbelief and excitement that someone, he had only just met, would offer something so grandeur to someone like him. A mere lowly dog in the hierarchy of Devil Hunters. Truthfully, the blond boy would do anything for a hot meal, and a warm place to sleep, so this was practically being given the â Royal Treatment â for practically doing nothing to earn it. He had grown accustomed to others promising him if it meant doing âXYZâ for them in return. âEr, uh, yeah, yeah, sure, yer my guardian now. Got it.â He nodded enthusiastically, already anticipating what kind of ramen bowl he planned on ordering. âNo worries, it ainât gonna get in the way of anything. Promise.â At this point, Denji would have agreed to anything and guaranteed whatever she wanted if it meant securing a meal. Sure, he was given all the necessities, and securities, needed at the Public Safety Division but food was food, dammit!! He practically bounded up to Michi like a puppy, excited for her to lead the way to their destination.
