Dylan Klebold had two pet cats called Rocky and Lucy. Dylan was in the third grade when he picked out his cat “Rocky”. Rocky was a white cat. "The big white cat had stretched out with us for all those family nights on the couch"-Sue Klebold's book. it is also said that dylan might have had pet birds when he was younger.

Eric Harris had a pet dog named Sparky, who was a Yorkshire Terrier. He passed away before 4.20.99. Dylan covered his shift at BlakJacks so Eric could mourn with his dog. Eric also wrote an essay for school where he described a time when he cried because he heard a dog that was injured.

He was the perfect little fifth-grader. He was an A- student, small for his age. "Adorable," she says.

She remembers being impressed that both of Eric's parents attended parent-teacher conferences. His mother helped out when the class made special shirts for Halloween. "She was just a helpful mom," Leach says. "If I ever called, she was willing to come."

Leach also stated that she knew which kids would turn out to be trouble but Eric had no signs of it.
