Cael feigned offense. Hand placed against the center of his chest. “Me? Gettin’ in trouble. I’m an angel Thea. Haven’t set a handsy bastard on fire in almost two days. That’s got to be a record.” It had been a little longer than two days but Cael had a penchant for making it burn when people, especially the perverted and stubborn refused to heed his warnings. “If you not too careful there, I’m gonna think you care. Then what would that do for your reputation?”
“What, do you want congratulations or something?” She elbowed him with a smile. “You’re gonna get caught one of these days, ya know.” She took another puff of her cigarette. “You’re right. I better be careful. Wouldn’t want you idiots to start gettin’ ideas now.”
