RIP Jerry Lewis (1926-2017) - Today we lost the great comedian, actor, writer, producer best known for his duo with Dean Martin in several films, and for roles in The Bell Boy (1960), The Nutty Professor (1963) and Scorsese’s The King of Comedy (1982); and also for his efforts as a humanitarian becoming national chairman of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and hosting his own telethon for the cause for more than 40 years. He died at age 91 leaving an impressive and remarkable career, and paved the way for many comedians and artists that came over the years.
Happy Birthday, Madonna a.k.a Queen!
“No one will speak for me, no one will make decisions for me. You could say I’m a super control freak. That’s what everybody likes to say. […] My shows, my films, my house, the way I raise my children. I take great offense when details are overlooked.”
I started teaching myself, taking a breath or a moment that’s not overreacting or having an explosion. It made me such a better person. Let alone a better mother, but also just a better human.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MILA KUNIS! (August 14, 1983)
For anyone who is sensitive this post may be a trigger.
Around midnight last night I got a phone call from my mother telling me that she loves me and goodbye. She had taken over 45 strong pills and drunk them down with whiskey. I immediately called 911. She lives two cities away from me so I rushed to her house as fast as I could. I was having a panic attack while driving and almost got into an accident on the interstate. The 911 operator stayed on the phone with me and told me when police arrived at my mom’s house. Apparently they were banging on the door but she wouldn’t open it. I had a key and since I was close they decided to wait on me instead of breaking down the door. When I got there and finally opened the door they wouldn’t let me inside. She was still conscious and was screaming at the police she just wanted to die. She didn’t go easily and they basically had to drag her out kicking and screaming, yelling she hated me for calling the police. She was getting sick from the drugs and ended up passing out. They rushed her to the emergency room where they had to pump her stomach. I was told she may die because of the severe damage to her liver. She’s stable as of now but is on lock down and isn’t allowed visitors. I have never been so scared in my entire life. The point of this post is to show you that suicide is a very real thing and to never take threats lightly. And for those who have considered it please think of the people who love you and how hopeless, guilty, lost and sadden they feel. I don’t know what I’m going to do if I lose my mom.
Sending all my love to you. stay strong.

“I’m taking my inspiration from many artists and it doesn’t matter if they get across to me by sense of vision or hearing I always try to make an extraordinary picture and my goal is to make a viewer stop for a minute, to influence on emotions and take away from reality.”

I enjoy staying home with friends more than going out. The other night, for example, my girlfriends and I stayed in listening to some ‘90s rap - my favorite kind. We were in the Hamptons and made it an all-Biggie weekend, all of his albums on repeat. I loved it.

I’m not going to dinner with somebody who eats like a bird, nor do I want to eat like a bird. But its weird: In our business, I’m a size 2 and considered curvy. Its important to remind young women, ‘Listen, even skinny girls have cellulite, even Halle Berry has cellulite, and what you see in photos isn’t totally real.’
I’d love to sleep in more than I currently do. My morning often starts with “Papa, papa, wake up!” from one of my three kids, and then a conversation with my wife that’s like, “You get up. No you get up. No it’s your turn.” Then I get the kids breakfast at some point. I love a coffee. I wake up and I crave a coffee but once I’ve had one I’m done. I don’t tend to need more than that. In Australia I get up often for a 5:30 or 6am sunrise and it’s a pretty special moment. Unlike anything I’ve seen anywhere else in the world.
