the excitement, the desire to become stronger – well, this was the attitude leon wanted to encourage of the people of galar !! he wanted to see galar become the strongest region in the world, and it was people like this girl that would help that dream come true.
hm. cincinno and scorbunny. that’s not a bad mix. scorbunny needs training to make it anywhere in the league – evolving to raboot at least, but with the right mix of pokemon, she could make it quite far with a guiding hand. she sounds like she’s been struggling with the gym challenge – and battles in general, for that matter.
“ all you need right now is practice – your scorbunny, at least, will evolve and learn new, more powerful moves, and you can do that just by spending some time on route one and two, fighting wild pokemon. i want to meet you in battle one day, so you better work hard, and we’ll have a champion battle !! so i’ll give you pointers, as long you promise to do your best !! ” he fixes the pokemon with a look too. “ that goes for you two, too !! work real hard, yeah ? you’re all a team !! ”
he wants to meet her in battle someday. the very thought sets her heart racing , arms wrapped around scorbunny as she processes his words. he believes in her , really believes in her. her eyes grow wide and she blinks , letting a soft gasp escape her as she looks at him. the first person to ever truly believe in her.....she’d remember this forever. her eyes water & she quickly wipes her face on the sleeve of her jacket before looking back at him , grinning.
‘ you.....i-i want that too !! i believe in my team, a-and they believe in me !! i’ll battle you for the championship one day, that’s a promise !! ’
scorbunny wiggles in her arms, holding one paw in the air & giving an affirmative cry. for now , she should probably practice , if she can’t beat trainers , how is she supposed to face the champion on the big stage of the pokemon league ?? she should probably also introduce herself.
