“It’s only the fault of Noxians. Don’t say it’s yours.” he struggled to keep his voice steady; calm, for her sake. Stay strong, she’ll be alright. Right?  He could feel her blood soaking through the shirt he wore under his armor. For there to be enough to drench both that and the scarf hastily pressed to the wound.. it was bound to be too much for her to survive.  “Just stay awake. Please.” Don’t leave me again. 

The Demacian army encampment Garen had left was just ahead. He began to try and run, nearly tripping over battlefield debris. He still had time, but he had to hurry.

“You have my word, I swear.” he said. He’d heard stories of Demacia taking in a select few Noxian refugees in the past. They were either incarcerated and punished for war crimes, or allowed into the population to live better lives - albeit being watched closely for the time they’re within the country.  Garen had ever had a part in any of those trials that resulted in a refugee walking free on their land, choosing instead to take part in those deciding the fate of war prisoners. It would be quite the interesting endevour for him to work out the fate of his latest ‘find’. 

Seeing her hand, he dropped his arms and started toward her. Slow and wary, he reached out to grab her hand and pull her from the bush. What to expect if she chose to fight, he wasn’t sure. Judging by the fluid that leaked in place of blood, she was probably one of those Hextech infused people he’d heard so much about. There weren’t many, if any, in Demacia that he would know of.

“I can’t return the gesture if you run off like that, Lux.” he laughs, shaking his head.
