I don’t have as many active mutuals here as I do on my other social media accounts but I’m going to put this here anyway.

I will unfollow you and block you if you spew hateful rhetoric. I don’t care which “side” you are on. We can have a conversation about mortality and justice without perpetuating hate speech.

As a queer woman, I have been receiving a wash of racist/prejudice commentary when I state “I don’t agree with bombing anyone”, even when I break that down to “I don’t agree with bombing Gaza/Israel/Lebanon/Syria/etc etc”.

It’s really telling to me that the group of people who are constantly attacking my character because I state this are also the people that are not the people who I repeatedly get told want to kill me for being white/western/gay/not Muslim/etc.

Let me repeat that in a different way. The people who I have been told to fear ARE NOT the ones who attack me when I say “no one should be bombed”. And that’s telling.

The entire world is infested with racist/prejudice bigots. My own country works tirelessly to limit my rights under the guise of “protection” and “godliness”. I completely disagree with the far-right movement in my own country, but I still would not support bombing those people who are members of that political group.

I believe in holding individuals accountable for their own actions, and I refuse to equate a government to their people when I know full damn well my government doesn’t represent me.

I also refuse to criticize the reactions of a organization without first critiquing the instigator of those actions. I refuse to repeat ideas about race as if they are scientific facts because race is a social construct created by European in the 19th century as ways to reason out their hatred for others. I refuse to allow anyone to excuse murder and colonization because they claim a book tells them it’s their right. I don’t give a fuck which book it is.

If you disagree with any of this and you follow me, feel free to unfollow and block me. If you feel offended by my words and choose to argue with me, I will unfollow and block you. I have spent 30 years on this earth listening to bigotry and I refuse to willingly subject myself to it or engage with it.

my unpopular opinion is that, when it comes to fics, i prefer established relationship over slow burn

Every so often I run into a slow burn that is upwards of 200k words.

A 200k slow burn is just literary edging.

Most of them you can read every other chapter or even every third chapter and still grasp the full plot.
