Little Horn yawned as they floated around the basement, clearly bored. They wanted something to do, someone to bother and maybe pull pranks on, but the basement was quiet and empty today.
But then, they thought they heard a noise, and it didn’t sound like a monster. Not wanting to be seen by this potential person quite yet, they summoned a hole in the floor and jumped inside; another hole appeared in the ceiling near a corner, and they poked their head out of it, wanting to see who would show up.
Meanwhile, Cain was frantically looking around in the basement in search of his lost eye patch. He didn’t want anyone to see him without it and kept covering his scarred eye with his hand. He had no idea how it happened, he simply woke up after a nap and the patch was gone. This caused him a great amount of worry.
Upon entering a new room, he didn’t notice at first Little Horn hiding in the corner. However, Cain seemed more and more anxious. He couldn’t understand why, but he felt like someone was spying on him. He decided to take a break and sit down near the middle where there was a lit fire.
Little Horn blinked as he noticed Cain come running into the room, one hand over his left eye. They recognized them, and wondered why he was in such a panic. Then they realized that his eyepatch was gone. While Little Horn had no idea where it was themselves, they had other ways of giving the boy hell.
Grinning mischievously, Little Horn quickly formulated a nasty little plan in their mind; they quietly summoned another hole right next to the one they were hiding in, before summoning a troll bomb and tossing it right inside. Within seconds, another hole popped up next to Cain, the lit troll bomb popping out of it, the fuse hissing.
Cain had no time for any other reaction than launching himself out of the way. It was a matter of seconds until the troll bomb exploded. The whole room went black after the fire died from the explosion. Cain was sticking to the wall, panting and trying to see what was the cause of the bomb suddenly appearing.
“W-Who’s here!?’’ he shouted in the absolute darkness, hoping for an answer. His voice couldn’t hide his growing fear.
