━━ Immediately recognizing Chandler, Julian smiled. “A most excellent sign,” he praised, listening carefully while she speaks. “I’m against pineapple on pizza,” he confessed—the company’s QA staff was baffled given that he’s a vegetarian—“now when you say when it suits you, did you mean if you’re in the mood for it or there’s no other kind of ice cream left?” He shook his head when ketchup in mac n cheese was mentioned, “I like ketchup with my extra crispy fries, and that’s it. I’m a big fan of fries dipped in ice cream unless they’re soggy fries, then we’re going to have a talk.” It’s a different topic altogether. “Wow, I believe this is our most extended conversation, Chandler,” Julian said with a grin. “Today’s not one of your busy days?”
she offered him a solemn nod, returning to her raised cheeked but closed lip grin as she received his compliment. “thank you.” she slipped, delivering her semi humbled note of appreciate with a head nod. “yours?” she began tracing his features as he offered his set of replies, finding it notable that their responses, ( ‘ even if hers were delivered in the utmost nonchalance ’ ) nearly— just NEARLY matched up. “i’ll keep the soggy fries in mind.” she mused. she leaned a little forward, nearly preparing to inquire as she parted her lips once more “how ‘against it’ are you?” she asked, furrowing her eyebrows, her lips protruded slightly, emulating a bit of a jokingly concerning pout. ‘...like HYPOTHETICALLY if we had pizza and i ordered pineapples on mine, would you never speak to me again? or are you the kind of person that lives and let lives.” she continued. “ as for the mint chocolate chip— i was referring to my mood.” she nodded, it was often fickle. his question referring to her whereabouts nearly made her smile. it was a different kind of smile then the myriad of grinning and the various facial expressions she’d been exhibiting this whole time. this kind of smile was a result of feeling recognition which was something she attributed towards her responsibilities outside of the apartment building. “you didn’t ask— but i’m still in school and i’m working two jobs.” she confessed. “every day is a busy day for me, babe.” chandler remarked. “just figured i’d make some time for you before work.”
