1 - i am an idiot who only has any self confidence when i believe i can create something

2 - regular animation is out of the question because i still haven't gotten a new stylus after losing my old one

my biggest (/hj) disappointment about go3 is that they did not dine at the ritz

i am gonna be posting a bunch of good omens stuff for a while so if anyone starts looking at any good omens related tags and keeps seeing me pop up, i apologise in advance

My take on the Good Omens ending (MAJOR SPOILERS)

So first off, there was a lot that I loved.

The nightingale bit with asa and anthony was really cute, and I don't hate the new universe ending as much as others seem to.

I don't really wanna think of it as "6000 years that never existed", but rather, they chose to just be them, without the eyes of heaven and hell, y'know?

I have seen complaints about asa and anthony being very out of character, but I honestly think this is just them if they weren't so influenced by other angels and demons.

They literally got what they wanted. They got to be an "us" as crowley put it.

Although I definitely agree that the time they have together as humans being so short is disappointing, I would've loved it if they could've met younger at least.

Which brings me to the stuff I... think could've been done better...

I did enjoy the plot, it was really good.

I do think that we really didn't put enough emphasis on jesus? Like wasn't the plot of s3 supposed to be about him? Of course with the ending it wouldn't really mean much in the end but it would've been nice.

My main issue was the fact that they never really said "I love you" or anything like that.

I'm not too upset about the lack of physical affection, but their love felt very... subtle in some parts? As a queer person it did kind of rub me the wrong way.

Overall, I did enjoy the ending, there were parts that felt incomplete or just off, but fanfiction exists for a reason, right? (Idk if I'll ever write any of my own with these two, but I always have my stupid little headcanons :))

Also I better start seeing some muriel, eric, and jesus besties content soon >:3

After thinking about it a little more I've decided that overall, I did enjoy it, and I do think the ending, while still disappointing, was just so them, and I will be drawing asa and anthony fanart with my own headcanons, considering one of my initial thoughts after watching it was that there's still a lot of stuff we haven't seen of their relationship in the new universe, meaning more stuff for me to headcanon and think about and draw (and write?? maybe?? still working on my fear of talking about fanfic under the username I used everywhere, I'm just still kinda recovering from the cringe culture mentality I developed early on in high school)

ANYWAY I AM GONNA START THINKING ABOUT THEM TOO MUCH AND FIGURING OUT HOW TO DRAW ASA AND ANTHONY IN MY ART STYLE

The way he's holding them here makes me feel conflicted. Like, this scene is terrifying and I can't imagine what's it like to be on a receiving end of it but... just look at it.

- he's holding Zooble in a way so that their parts don't fall out

- he's not squeezing Gangle so that her fragile ribbons don't get tangled

- he's not putting too much pressure on Ragatha so that she doesn't get ripped apart

- he's only holding Pomni and Jax firmly because their bodies are solid and rubbery

And this scene is right after the torture too. You would think he would be more violent, but no. He wanted to hurt them, not break them.

Caine wanted them to listen. And because they never did, he made them feel what he felt when they poked at his biggest fears and insecurities.

I guess what I meant to say is - even when at his worst, there was still something considerate in him. Something resembling the real him and not the angry monster he'd become.
