Jisung, the kid next door. The devilishly selfish prick, the neighbours’ first and last son. You hated him. And he hated you. Porbably even more than you did. And that most definitely had very deeprooted reasons.

You had a nice day? Watch it get ruined just by the sight of Jisung at the end of your school day when you two return home on your bikes, coming from opposing directions of the road, because you’re from different schools on each side of the town. Your families have been conflicted with each other since your childhood. You can tell it all started when you enrolled in primary school, because the pictures with him in your old photo albums stopped from that point of time on.
Your parents always told you how bad he was and how you should always keep your distance. That's also how your hate on him ignited. You listen to your parents and what your parents don't like is what you shouldn't like either! Right? If you follow a child's mentality, yes. But there's more to it. And you knew it deep down.
Of course your family did not want you to know that you had any relation to him in the past at all, but you were just too good at hide-and-seek to not find these hidden away albums filled with pictures of your sorrowful past with Han Jisung. No idea why they're still there anyway.
Also you do faintly remember playing with Jisung when you were little. Those weren't bad memories, though. Nevertheless you hated each other.
But there was this thing that happened once. And, heck, this thing... it isn't something you could just erase from your memories easily. And God knows how it even came to that.

And since you don't have any valid witnesses, since you didn't know anyone at the party except from the prick and culprit next door himself, you were pretty much screwed.

When he removes himself from you again, you watch his facial expression turn soft, hinting worry "Minho was on the phone just now", Chan says.
Lee Minho is, or was, one of your co-workers and he's been friends with Chan for longer than you've known him. In fact, Minho's the one who introduced Chan to you back in the day. Therefore he knows what’s been going on at work.
You drop your gaze "He told you, didn't he?" is what you ask him in a whisper. Chan probably wasn't mad at you, actually, you know he'd worry. You are indeed very disappointed and you are aware he might be, too, since you two share some important memories at that place. But he doesn’t respond, just continues on looking at you worryingly.
"So the coffee's for me?" You ask, forcing a smile on your lips. He nods, now letting mumbles escape his lips "Mhm, let's go".
Guiding you to the living room's sofa on which you'd sat on just now with a warm hand on your shoulder, you feel more loose. You sit down and he puts a blanket over your legs. "I want you to relax a bit, alright, love?"
You share a smile and he brings you the cup of coffee you have been expecting. He turns the TV on and sits down on the edge of the sofa right next to you.
But the TV is not what you focus on.
