It's so saddening to see how this 2022 election affects us. Family, friends, colleagues, and peers diverge just because we aren't sharing the same belief about who should be the rightful president of the Philippines and forgot to show some human decency.
Which brings me to my question, what is the end goal of this, really? I believe voting for someone means believing in that person's capabilities. We all have an equal right to vote and freedom of speech. But, what's happening right now is chaotic. Most of us abuse that freedom to do what we think is right.
If we are fighting to be Right, then, I guess, this will be a never-ending fight because there are approximately 112,000,000 Filipinos, which equates to 112,000,000 versions of right and wrong. Or are we really fighting for our future?
We all want to be heard and to have a better future. But was it necessary for you to abandon your class and join the rally? Was it really necessary for you to belittle other people? 'm not exactly sure of the outcome you're expecting after this. Sure, you'll enlighten some of the people. Sure, youβll feel a sense of pride. I mean, you do what you gotta do, but please do not abuse your freedom of speech. There's nothing wrong with fighting for what you believe in, but there's always a limit. There are also different sides of the story and branches. We have a different perspective in life which is, based on our circle of friends, our experiences, our beliefs, and all sorts of things and interactions in our daily living that contribute to that way of thinking.
Personally, my goal is to have a better Philippines, and that's why I would do it by becoming a good citizen in my little way and as humane as possible, regardless of the person's name. You, what's your goal? Is it to win the argument? Remove the president title to BBM? Then what, let Leni lead? Or βeveryone is giving their opinion, so I should also say mineβ, type of person?
The majority of Filipinos chose BBM. We can all agree that we are wishing and hoping for the better. And what youβre doing today, will that help us become a better Philippines?
Why can't we focus our energy in doing something more productive? For sure, Madam Leni has other plans aside from winning the presidency. Can't she not continue her project without the title? Let us assume that out of 10 projects: she can only work on five without the title. Was it too hard for all of you to help her out on that? Or focus on other things that will actually contribute to a better future? Was it necessary to degrade other people because it contradicts your belief? Again, there's nothing wrong in fighting for what you believe in, but know your limits. Often times, we excuse our greed by claiming that the end justifies the means.
Please keep your minds open when reading this. This isn't a close argument. We all wanted to be right, and we all wanted to do something for our country, hell, we will fight for our country, but I suggest doing it in a more civilize way and with compassion.
<<peace out>>
