just logging on to say that I will not forgive storer if carmy runs to claire. There's just something so deeply vulnerable about it and she doesn't deserve that.
Like fair enough (I guess) if you’re desperate to carry out the ‘guy gets the conventional bland 2d non- manic pixie dream ‘cool girl’’ storyline , even in the face of widespread dislike from much of the fans (and professional critics- also baffled by how 2d and blah the character is) , but at least don’t rub people’s faces in it by having them to sit through some chemistryless romcom happy ever after scenes with them.
They owe us that at least 😭 (jking, know they don’t and they can do want they want and tank their own show if they want ofc) , after feinting and teasing sydcarmy (panic scene, table scene, many more) for the past couple of years loool.
Hate to risk speaking this into existence but if they (clairecarmy) have to be together, at least please don’t force lots of lovey dovey love scenes on us, make it just ok they got together, keep it background and the restaurant, Carmy’s family etc the main storyline. Even Reddit bros that were thirsting over her in s1 as the perfect male fantasy and adding more weight to her than she actually had, were sick of it by s3 and asking why it was taking so long for their storyline to progress and saying they were tired of it / Claire. Like when you’ve lost a lot of THEM? Wrap it up with minimal screen time 😭

So what if there's a scene in S4 that's essential a reversal of the table scene...Carmy's the one being vulnerable and Sydney's the one making the promises.
the Sydcarmy fight scene in bend and break. That's it. That's the post.
Potential spoilers for the bear s4
ayo and jeremy both doing romcom/romantic series after the bear is an indicator that sydcarmy is endgame
"may I see you back to the village?"
"no! I'm very fond of walking"
"yes!..yes I know..."
"this looks different.."
"oh yeah, I made the margins wider"
"why?"
"cause you write in the margins"
Was carmy's trembling hand as he reaches out towards Sydney during the under the table scene low-key a recreation of the Mr Darcy hand flex scene-
Highly unlikely scenario but what if in S4:
There is a big wedding rehearsal dinner blow up with Carmy and Claire, that involves Richie.
Richie tells Carmy he can be a no-show to the wedding and as a result, Richie brings Syd.
Donna does her Donna thing to Syd (which is also how she treats Richie), and the two of them commiserate.
But! Carmy shows up. He shows up late, but he shows up. He finally tells Richie that he loves him.
And then, he asks Syd to dance with him in front of Donna and God. In front of the entirely of his messy family and their hangers on.
Making it clear he chooses Richie as family and that he’s in love with Syd and will put her first.
We've definitely got sydcarmy shippers in the crew!!!
Combining Carmy's knife with Sydney's heart???
I see you!
love all Sydcarmy fics but those canon adjacent wedding fics just hit different
My only prediction about s4 is that the wedding episode is gonna be fishes 2.0 x10.000 intensity
Predictions for s4 of the bear. I posted something similar on my twt a while back so it might look familiar.
Sydney centric episode. Very similar to the carmy centric episode in s3 except it's less depressing, more upbeat and lively. It might get slightly depressing towards the end to highlight her current emotional state. Covers her whole career trajectory till present day.
Direct continuation of last season's finale. Sydney goes to the bear after her panic attack cause she's in need of space and Carmy happens to be there. Carmy cooks for her and the whole process of him cooking for her is filmed, directly paralleling the Sydney omelette scene. It's peaceful and quiet and the banter is great. They don't address the elephant in the room. Carmy decides to live a little bit and allows himself to enjoy the moment. Carmy comes to terms with his feelings for Sydney. Sydney discovers that she might have feelings for carmy. Overall still pretty platonic but the romantic undertones are stronger. Warm lighting and romantic soundtrack. Intercuts to the house party; fak shenanigans?? Imagine if they invited Claire to Sydney's place 😭😭
Sydcarmy fight. Sydney leaves.
Carmy and Richie make up. carmy brings Richie along as emotional support when he goes over to Claire's house to apologize to her. The whole shouting match is hilarious as fuck. BRING BACK THE HUMOUR. Richie doesn't really interfere until Claire goes berserk. ( Kind of need Claire to be a little mean-spirited). Sydney is mentioned. The faks happen to be there?! Road trip vibes, very reminiscent of dogs.
Carmy is not at the wedding.
Love these predictions!
Absolutely obsessed now with this idea of them both running to The Bear after hours to reminisce and coming across each other and cooking and love is in the air more than ever though they’re so close to moving apart. Feels like that would be very in-character of them based on how their fights have gone before in the past. Maybe they finally end up collaborating on a dish and that’s what seals the deal for them?
I also think Carmy might not go to the wedding. Tiff doesn’t really like Carmy and it would also allow the show to bring up stuff that hasn’t been dealt with around Mikey’s death. Donna sees Tiff and Eva, and hates The Beef, so my guess is Donna might blame Richie a little bit and definitely the restaurant for what happened to Mikey, and now Carmy and Nat are involved. I think Syd is Richie’s +1 to the wedding.
I could also see Carmy not coming to the wedding because something happens with pre-wedding stuff and I’m sure Claire will be a bridesmaid and so Carmy might bow out? If it was wedding-related Richie will probably participate whether he really wants to or not. Thinking a rehearsal dinner and then Claire and Carmy get into it and Richie takes up for him. Leading to Carmy not coming to the wedding and Syd being Richie’s wing-man instead. Also makes it clear Richie considers Syd family as much as he does Carmy.

S4 predictions
Ok if I'm not wrong ayo mentioned something about filming an emotional scene with lionel and that she was pretty weary of how it turned out. This might be in relation to the dead mums' club scene but I felt that in didn't warrant such a response? In legacy, Marcus mentions that he's Sydney's emergency contact. So what if this scene is set at a hospital. Here me out..
-so Sydney decides to stay ( I have a feeling that she calls her dad in the teaser)
- carmy finds out about the pouching
- they fight about it after service
-sydney leaves but she doesn't explicitly say that she's leaving the bear
- carmy probably has a mental breakdown at the bear.
-sydney doesn't show up for prep cause she's involved in an accident or she falls super ill due to all the stress and anxiety. OR if you want to turn this into a soap opera, someone in the mob attacked her. Anyways, she ends up at the ER
- so carmy is under the impression that she has quit so he starts spiralling a bit
- Marcus gets the call from the hospital
- Marcus and Sydney share a vulnerable moment
- the whole crew except for carmy visits Sydney
- carmy is overwhelmed with guilt
- or maybe carmy actually goes to see her, meets Emmanuel there and reconciles with Sydney
