Mandy is my favorite Nicolas Cage movie. It's hypnotic and weird and interesting and wonderful. Beautiful and strange visuals, fantastic score, and Nic Cage giving a fantastic performance. I love it.

One of my favorite things about the movie is really Mandy and Red's relationship. It's so gentle and tender. And perhaps my favorite scene from the movie is right at the beginning, when Red comes back home and just watches Mandy draw. We all know how artists don't typically like it when people watch them work--but Mandy isn't bothered at all by him observing her create. It's beautiful.
