Ever notice how Kazuma’s damaged sprite involves him holding his head? Almost as if there is some prolonged pain from his amnesia. Or it could be psychological from having to wear a mask for so long to hide his true identity, like his father had to.  

And Barok’s damaged sprites have him grasping his heart as if he was stabbed. Which is how his brother Klint died.
