AITA for not drinking coffee

I (17nb) and my classmate, R, (17m) were working on a school project in the library. We were working for hours and R wanted to buy coffee to get the gears in his head running again. He asked me if I wanted some coffee too, to which I replied with a clear no. He left to buy coffee.

When R came back I noticed two coffee cups in his hand. At first I thought R was just thirsty or needed the double caffeine intake. But then he handed me the second cup, saying it was for me. I was a bit surprised but stood by my answer. I told R that I appretiate it, but wouldn't be drinking the coffee. He nodded and we continued working on our project.

After we were done, R asked me why I didn't drink the coffee. Again, I told him that I told him I wouldn't drink it, so he shouldn't be surprised. R then told me that I should just drink the damn coffee. I said no and he got angry at me, saying that I was being wasteful and ungrateful. I told him yet again that I never wanted coffee and will not drink it. After some back and forth, R gave up and threw away the coffee.

Now he's pissed at me for wasting his money and being ungrateful, calling me an AH. So, AITA?
