the pitstop podcast’s premise was that jake and fabio would use this podcast as a means to educate themselves about the sport but here we are well over a year later they are still as clueless as anything. they can get it away with it all because they are white privileged males.
they can get away with saying that seb drove for haas and didn’t know he won 4 world championships, they can get away with saying things like ollie bearman will have girls all over him when he turns 18 they can get away with saying over and over again they are casual fans who don’t really care about the sport despite getting the once in a lifetime opportunity to interview drivers, commentators, pundits, content creators and mechanics they can get away with saying fans don’t care about the sport all because they are privileged white males
but then you have female fans who are grilled the minute they open their mouths by the male fans because even though you have female fans who watched f1 before dts was even a thing, men still think all female f1 fans watch f1 because the drivers are hot and because of dts despite the fact that when you watch a race you only see the driver’s helmets and maybe their eyes if ur lucky even then it’s for 2 seconds maximum.
