Do you paint the dolls yourself? I really like them but I feel like if the wrong person sees them they could become very upset (miscarriages, cot death) not saying you should stop tho haha

Hi!I paint some of the dolls, but most of the ones I’ve posted are by other artists and friends of mine. :) I do know what you mean, I’ve gotten a lot of negative comments on my dolls, and dirty looks. I’ve been accused of promoting horrible things, which if they ever got to know me, they’d realize I’m 100% against. And many people in this community have been accused of the same, but unfortunately we can’t fix how people perceive them. But I can say that no one in this community is trying to offend anyone! We create and collect these dolls because we love them. Some use them as a form of therapy, some just love the art behind them. It’s a way to express yourself and create something unique from it. I have friends in the community and out of it that love the dolls because they have lost a child, or are unable to have children, and holding them gives them a sense of happiness. So I find not all people see them in a negative light. I’m not saying that everyone is going to be like that, but I have seen the positive effects of them. I myself started collecting because I had horrible anxiety, and holding my dolls helps me calm down. I’ve always loved babies, so this hobby didn’t surprise anyone that knows me when I started collecting haha. Everyone has their reasons, and I do feel bad that some people are reminded of horrible events by looking at them, but I do promise no one here is trying to hurt anyone. We’re just collectors and artists, enjoying a hobby that makes us happy. 😊I know you’re not accusing anyone of that, this is more or less a broad statement for everyone that reads this. ;) Thank you by the way, for liking the babies I post :)

Having issues with tumblr

Any time I try to post pictures, it says they're uploaded and then they're just... not posted. I've been trying for weeks and haven't been able to get any to post. 😤

where do you get all those super cute dolls

I get them from a couple different places, though I can usually tell you where I got a specific one. LDDs I get off eBay or comic book stores. Reborns I tend to buy from the artist on Facebook, though the occasional one comes from eBay. And there’s the rare ones I make that I post sometimes.Most of my zombies/vampires are made by either Deadly Nightshade Nursery, Moonlit Night Nursery or Babies on the Other Side Nursery on Facebook. All sell on a first come, first served basis, so you gotta be quick! The newest posted for example, was by Deadly Nightshade Nursery.I used to have a list on my blog for where I get my babies, but it’s extremely out of date. I’ll try to get around to updating it so everyone can see who made who. :) My collection has changed since I last posted it as well.
