Curiosity and The Cat

-Maggie was always a curious one, being a cat shifter aside, there was always so much to learn and experience. While the experiences weren’t always good or friendly, still, she learned. And she was the only shifter she’d ever come across in her life, other than her parents. Now that they’d taken off, leaving her on her own, Maggie had frequent encounters that couldn’t exactly be called ‘nice’. Yet she always survived, running through neighborhoods in cat form, getting to interact with several types of people, none of which knew what she really was.-
Hmm? What’s that? Oh!
-She caught the scent of something… predatory. Ever the curious one, even at the sake of her own health, Maggie stayed in her cat form and went to investigate. Sleek and black fur, she kept to the shadows, hoping to get at least a glimpse of whatever predator was out and about like her. She expected maybe a dog, judging from the scent, but never in her wildest dreams did she ever think to see a wolf, its eyes locked directly on her. Well… crap.-

-Elliot always had been something of an explorer. He knew. The wolf shifter always seemed to be in one place but then the next, seeing something new, someone new. It was all too common for him. His black fur would gleam in the moonlight. Paws drifting off of the dark grasses. A red eye, and a blind right, fogged blue eye that was scarred over, would turn to meet the eyes of the cat staring at him. The male would still be stuck in his wolf form for another hour, he knew. The moon would be bright in the sky, and he relished the sight of it reflecting down onto the area below, where the cat was staring at him.-
“A little kitty has come into my way, now has it.”
-The dark form would watch the smaller animal with his only seeable eye. Elliot would watch the small figure before approaching slowly, steadily, on tall, lanky paws that would show his slim form in the night. His eyes would blink down at the small creature, curiosity sparkling in the eyes of it. The tail of the creature would raise behind him, curling to a point, unmoving.-
